diy urchin...

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and are rested up and ready for
December!!! I've been running around decorating and un-decorating, I had a vague plan and
it wasn't coming together at all. It doesn't help that every year when I take out my Christmas
boxes it feels like my taste has changed...yet again, and I'm less than thrilled with what I have
to work with. These little diy urchins were super easy, inexpensive, and gave me something
fresh and modern to add to the mix, I may have gone over board. :)
Here's a sneak peek at my mantle and the simple diy...

Styrofoam Ball
Straws
Gold Spray Paint

Trim the straws to your desired lengths and insert into the styrofoam, then
spray paint. If you'd like your urchin to sit flat just cut your styrofoam ball in half.
That is it!

Stop by on Wednesday to see how it came together. :)  I'll be sharing my Christmas
mantle and bookcase decor at the Holiday Cheer Party.
You can check out last year's mantel here.

Be sure to check in tomorrow for the announcement of the lucky
Lulu & Georgia $100 Giftcard winner.

happy thanksgiving...

Sorry everyone, I didn't plan to go missing for much of the week without any
warning, we've been on Thanksgiving break and out of school all week.
I've been trying to get my act together for my annual Christmas party next Tuesday,
since they'll be expecting Christmas decor. :)
I wanted to pop in and wish you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving!
And, to say a heartfelt thank you to all of you for taking the time to stop by my little
blog every day, and for your incredibly kind comments...you are simply the BEST,
and I'm thankful to have you along on this wonderful journey!

xoxo,
pam

ikea docksta table...

How I wish I could think of a space in my house that would work for the
$199 - 41" round
It's a sturdy, inexpensive knock off of the mid-century modern tulip table
by Euro Sarrinen, that gained popularity in the 1960's.

It's perfect for a smaller kitchen nook, and often shown with banquettes.
It effortlessly mixes with a multitude of chair styles.
This diy with the base painted gold is stunning!

How cool is this diy with chalkboard paint? It would be awesome in a playroom!
