ikea julmys (twine)...$3.99

Ikea Julmys aka Baker's Twine
$3.99/33 yards

New in Ikea's holiday collection, and a great alternative to ribbon to have on hand.

Sometimes less is more,
as illustrated in these simply wrapped gifts...

Brown craft paper, white boxes, newspaper, twine,
tags, and a few embellishments
would make for simple wrapping.

8 1/2 weeks till Christmas!

I will be throwing the cute twine in my cart whenever I get to Ikea, which is hopefully soon! Asked Arvind today on our walk if we could carve out a day to make the trip(2 hours to Pittsburgh) to check out their Christmas stuff before it gets picked over. Also want the sheepskin for my studio/craft room desk chair. After all these years, I still love Ikea!

Stop it - 8 1/2 weeks???? *deep breathing*

I love simple wrapping….the craft paper and colored twine is so lovely. And I NEED to make those gorgeous paper flowers from Holly Mathis - they are beautiful. Except most people on my gift-giving list would just throw them away so maybe not!

You should be in marketing for Ikea! Your great finds there make me want to take the 45 minute jaunt to the one nearest me!

Such pretty wrapping ideas..

I was just there ~ Again! I live within 20 minutes of not 1 but 2 Ikea stores! But I did walk right by the holiday stuff. Took a lot of willpower, believe me!

I think I still have some from last Christmas but I'll have to keep this in mind - since Ikea is right down the street from us.

I have an embarrassing amount of ribbon stored away for Christmas- but did not see this at Ikea! I love the simple wrapping, it is perfect for baked goods!

Love it! I'm having a group of young married girls over in a few weeks to show them how to wrap pretty presents for Christmas. Wish I had a stash of this!

That would be "its" not "it's." Helps to read your comment before hitting publish!

I love this look and so glad Ikea is carrying baker's twine. I need to get there. Have things mounting on my ikea list - arm chairs, paper, tea lights, napkins, baker's twine (I'm sure I've missed a ton off this list). x

Great post but can't believe we are near the holidays, that actually scares me as I feel so unorganized this year!

This twine is so much fun, and I love how it can feel festive without feeling overdone. Not to mention how strong it is, too!
