sneak peek @ the chairs...

We enjoyed the dusting of snow and chilly weather on the weekend, it was the perfect
excuse for baking. We indulged in delicious Petite Pumpkin Spice Donuts I found on Pinterest.

I also found time to work on recovering the Craigslist chairs for our dining room...

I chose this bold, neutral...

to coordinate with this fabric for the two upholstered host chairs.

Part of the reason these chairs were so appealing to me was the open style of the back. I plan
to use pillows on the chairs, and can easily change them out seasonally. The neutral fabrics
will allow for endless choices, :) bold florals will be a fun mix with both of these patterns.
I was playing with all the pillows I could find all day a pillow from our sofa to give you an idea.

And, speaking of chairs, remember my post last week, 'interest for your entry' here,
I showed you how you could give your entry a little pizazz by incorporating a simple
chair. My friend Patty didn't waste a second moving this chic black and white striped
chair to her entry ~ it's perfect!
If you'd like to see more of her gorgeous home stop by Patty's Epiphanies here
for a peek at a few of her beautiful rooms.

I have a rub 'n buff project in the works to show you later this week.

The chairs look great, Pam! Love the fabric and how you can change out the back pillow throughout the year! Can't wait to see the host chairs in their "vermicelli" fabric!

I've read a lot about these donuts - I need to check them out. Are you on Instagram, Pam? It's so much fun (if you need any arm twisting). Looking forward to seeing your chairs all happy together ;) I pulled a few fabrics together that I thought to myself - Pam is really going to like these (if I ever get them posted). And I've been meaning to ask someone, where can I find the Rub N' Buff product at the hardware store? I've looked several times and haven't been able to find it. I even check AC Moore and haven't been able to find it anywhere - and of course when I ask a worker they have no idea.

The chairs look so great, you are a master at both DIY and finding pieces that are worth the effort. Love the double X design on the backs.

Also you made pumpkin donuts at home? Wow! Going to look on your Pinterest for the recipe.

Beautiful beautiful chairs! That's sweet you can switch them out, but I think the fabric you choose is also perfect year around which is nice because you don't HAVE to change them. :)

Hello. I am so glad I discovered your blog while reading Kim's over at Savvy Design. I will definitely add your blog to my faves. Back to business...I have that exact same fabric that you have on your chairs, but was wondering if you had any problems with it? One of my chairs is finished, but when I tried the other chair, the fabric stretched and it was not even pulled that hard. I had to go get another yard and we'll see what happens. One chair is down, one to go. Also, would you mind sourcing the fabric that other fabric that's set on top of the chair. I love it and would LOVE to make pillows to throw on my bed. I'll have to post pictures of my bedroom soon. Thanks for the inspiration.
