Did you join the popular 'white' bandwagon?
I jumped on big time and painted my living room, dining room, kitchen and family room,
to go with my neutral light furniture.
I loved the clean, light, bright and crisp look for spring and summer,
but want to transition to warm, cozy, comfortable and cuddly for winter.
I analyzed warm white rooms and came up with these common denominators
to achieve the look:
* texture * throws * firewood * baskets * leather *
* gold accents * patina *
* burlap * antiques * woven shades * dark furniture *
* cushy pillows * warm lighting *

I haven't gone white yet, but I am planning on it real soon.
The only place I've gone white is my bedroom but it's still a work in progress. Isn't everything?

I absolutely adore all of these spaces - the top one is my favourite! Texture definitely goes a long way in changing the feel of a room!

I love all these rooms. Pam you always share such great inspiration. These hit home b/c these are the colors we have been changing our famil room, breakfast, and kitchen too w/ a splash of grey.
Oh I may decide to go all white one of these days ;) LOL! I'm really loving the swedish look in furniture. I would love to pull my living room together this year in a look I love and am not constantly wanting something changed. I will always change around my decor but I'd like to get this furniture thing figured out :)
In front of a fire, for sure. I love the whites, and especially love the way you have used them in your home, with lots of contrast and warmth.

I am a fan of color but I do appreciate, more and more, the effects of white. It is definitely a must in any space in order to lighten things up and add balance. I have some white accessories and have been trying to add more warm white lighting. Great inspiration!

I love candles and I plan on getting a new throw or two at some point as well. I'd really like to splurge on something nice, but I've also put the bug in a certain someone's ear as well in case they're looking for any gift ideas.
I have always loved white and find it can be warmed up with layers, textures and a touch of color.
Can't go with white walls...house is fairly new, 2 years and we had all the wall painted SW/Silver Strand, all the woodwork and built ins are white! Love it...most of my furniture is upholstered in whites, black with gold accents. It all gives a soothing feel and works in all seasons.

I love the look, especially with the warmth of gold, burlap, and wood... But I haven't made any changes to my home yet. So, I'll just keep pinning the inspiration until then! Great photos, and your list is really helpful for things to think about :-)
