christmas mantel...

Nature with a bit bunch of Sparkle

I used gold and silver throughout our decor this year,
I'm liking less 'stuff' every year, and prefer the look of greenery and branches.
However, my love for a little sparkle gets sprinkled about generously.
I like to repeat elements throughout the rooms for a consistent look...white branches,
gold and silver ornaments on the tree, in hurricanes, glass vases, and a wire basket,
and strands of pearls and gold beads.

I used strands of gold beads to hold the wreath over the mirror.

A favorite ornament from a friend gets a prominent spot.
Did you notice the gold mesh? Remember it from here, I was trying to think of a diy
to salvage it, this used a tiny bit, but I have a plan! :)

Michael's paper mache deer decked out in strands of beads.

Thanks for stopping by to check in on the latest progress,
 tomorrow...the dining room.

It looks very elegant. I too have toned things down this year, although our trees always have that 'more is more' look, lol.

I love your fireplace and matel. Someday, when we're in our next home (that I'm hoping will have a fireplace), I'll probably be consulting you on my mantel styling. It's beautiful. Perfect touches of shiny and rustic.

Love your glammed up reindeer!.... and, oh, I never tire of paperwhites. Can you believe they are impossible to find here in Geneva? I've searched and searched.

Your paperwhites are blooming already? Love the smell and the freshness.

I don't think I will ever see a strand of pearls again and not think of you, your dog or your Christmas decor! Classy.

I love the pearls too! And your simple, but elegant, decor. You are soooo good at pulling it all together!

I was just about to e-mail you and ask if we were going to get to see your mantel. All of your hard work paid off! I LOVE all of the fun beads and pearls, and the sparkle of course. So beautiful and classic!

Very pretty Pam and I had to smile when you said you are enjoying the less is more approach. Perhaps this comes with "maturity" as my kids are grown.. and I'm ready to get rid of all the clutter. My husband is a sentimental guy and wants to keep things..sigh.. Your mantle is very pretty and I love those paper whites!

Love me some sparkle, I took a similar approach this year but my mantle doesn't hold a candle to yours. You, my friend, have the special styling touch, fabulous!

So very pretty! I had the same thoughts after pulling out my decorations this year and putting half of them back in storage! Dasher is now truly dashing and so very Pam-glam with pearls! I was about to ask where you bought the cool vase- what a great idea for your mesh! Love it all!

Yes, I too am less is more kind of gal now. Funny how that happens. I can actually buy pretty much what ever I want now that the kids are grown, but it just doesn't seem that important. I got all glittery this weekend making a hula hoop ornament wreath. It was the glittery ribbon I used to wrap the hoops, I am still finding it everywhere. Love the silver and gold look you have done, classic.

Lovin' the white brances, Pam. I use paperwhites every year, too and I'm also going for a more simple Christmas decor this year.
