$5 gift...teacher, neighbor, hostess

Just a quick post after my 'Favorite Things' party with my girlfriends,
we had a great time ~ it's truly one of my favorite evenings of the year!
If you missed the fun invitation you can check it out here.

I'll give you all the party highlights tomorrow, you will be blown away with the clever
gifts these girls came bearing!  Today I'm sharing the gift I gave, if you remember it had
to be $5 or less and we brought five for five friends.
It's perfect for a teacher, neighbor or hostess, and as functional as it is fun.

You won't be surprised to know it came from...Ikea!
The Tripp Containers can be found here
$3.99 for a set of three tins ~ 7", 6", 5" with lids, they easily stack inside each other.
I included two rolls of holiday ribbon, the decorative tins make a perfect 'box' for
a small gift or are great storage containers for coffee, tea or a multitude of other items.
They can be found with the glass and plastic in the food storage area of the store.

I printed graphic black and white name tags on card stock,
Emily from Jones Design Company generously offers a free download,
to print your own go here

Simple, inexpensive and pretty!

Lucky ladies having the creative Pam as their hostess. Sure it was a special event.

Love your gift! As well as all your Ikea finds. Wish I did not have to drive almost 2 hours to the closest one! I already have a list for the next visit and we were just there last month!

How fun - that was perfect!! I love Emily's freebies…the black and white tags are so cute. This $5 price range was a good challenge - you did a great job coming up with this!

Can't wait to see all of the gifts, and knew you'd have something clever. And thanks for the tip on the tags - always love a freebie download. I used some Martha Stewart downloads last year and that worked great too.

I love your favorite things gift, something useful, pretty and that you can use all year round. I am planning a favorite things party for my MOPS group next week, maybe your post will inspire some more creativity for me!

Those tins are so cool and fun! I love the graphic too. IKea should pay you referral fees! I hope you get to rest some today.

Hi Pam! Not sure if you get notified when people post on your blog which I just did on your first blog post because I did it, I read your entire blog and it only took me 3 days worth of naptimes! I was on betterafter.net and saw a post about you and thought I would check you out. You have instantly been added to the top of my daily blog list. You are so creative and I love the realtionships you have in your life and how giving you are to your loved ones. You have a beautiful home and I can't wait to see your next project!
