my neighbor gifts...

One of my favorite gifts last year was a pretty basket with
delicious homemade biscuits and honey from a special client, turned friend.
We loved the idea so much I decided to do the same for some
friends and neighbors this year...

I loved these tall glass storage jars resembling a beehive as the container,
after the biscuits cooled I stacked them inside,
and included a jar of gourmet honey and a new dish towel.

Tomorrow is going to be a perfect baking day because we're getting...
*~*~*~* SNOW *~*~*~*
Dried Cranberry and White Chocolate Biscotti are on my list.
I've made this recipe from Bon Appetit for years here
some of the reviews mention they're sweet for biscotti, but I've never noticed and
 don't make any adjustments.
They have a nice consistency - crisp, but not too hard.

What's on your baking list?

I've never made biscotti and yours look delicious….I think I'll give them a try! Especially for my Sicilian father in law….I think he would love them. Thanks for the idea! On my baking list are cookies in the shape of dog bones for our neighbors (into whose yards my little furry buddy likes to wander frequently!) We give them a little something from Bruschi every year as our way of saying thanks for putting up with this guy!

Youre such an entertainer and hostess! I love all of your ideas and your thoughtfulness to others. I would love to try biscotti. I have been baking so many cookies Im ready to start throwing them out..we have already had some big family events that I baked for, and after indulging too much I'm done. ( remind me I said that) Have a wonderful holiday, to one of my very favorite bloggers.

A delightful and thoughtful gift and so special with your touches! That is my favorite cookie and the exact recipe my friend gave me. Just made a batch yesterday for tonight's cookie exchange!

If I ever get myself in motion... our house will be filled with the fragrance of molasses cookies, chocolate crinkle cookies, biscotti, and maybe even a batch of shortbread! Coffee??? did someone say we might have some coffee freshly made? *sigH* that was yesterday... oh yes the dough for Grandma's pinwheel cookies is chilling plus homemade fig newtons. :)

Hi Pam;) This is perfect as I need a gift idea for a couple of neighbors. Who doesn't enjoy biscuits with honey!?

Enjoy the snowfall. We are having a mixture of snow and rain this week.. which means a few inches at our place (higher elevation). The cranberry biscotti looks so good. I'll have to check out that recipe.

Where did you get the dish towels? Love them. I need some new ones because my crate & barrel ones are looking pretty shabby. I am also in the Denver metro area and we are enjoying the snow. Too bad the kids had to go to school!

Mary - the dish towels were from TJ Maxx, enjoy our snowy day!
