Fall Into the Holidays - Dining Room DEAL!!!

Welcome to our last week of FALL INTO THE HOLIDAYS!
I'm joining a fun group of bloggers brought together by our lovely friend,
I hope you've been inspired by all the ideas to spruce up your home these last few
weeks before the holidays are in full force and you're hosting family and friends.
This week our topic is the
  DINING ROOM.

My IKEA favorite that I shared for the living room last week was a hit, I received
emails and texts from friends and clients asking if they should get one. Umm...yes!
It just happens that I have an IKEA favorite that's perfect for your dining room
for the holidays! And, it's ON SALE through Sunday, Novemeber 19!!!
$71 including long slip cover!

Slip covered host chairs are timeless and so versatile, they easily mix with endless styles
of tables and side chairs. These are a steal and will take your dining room up a notch
in a flash. They're comfortable too! No worries if someone spills, the slipcovers are
washable! I used them in this 80's Kitchen Update for a client.

$71
Includes Long Slipcover
Washable

No IKEA nearby? No problem, they're available online at the sale price!

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out the ideas the past few weeks,

Fall Into the Holidays - An IKEA Favorite

Welcome to week three of FALL INTO THE HOLIDAYS!
I'm joining a fun group of bloggers to share some simple ideas to spruce up your home
these last few weeks before the holidays are in full force. This week our topic is the
  LIVING ROOM.

Four years ago I posted about the IKEA Barometer, an all time favorite floor lamp.
I so wished it came in gold, but since it didn't I did what any DIY blogger would do
and got out my indispensable spray paint!

Well, guess what's NEW at IKEA?!!

You guessed it - the Barometer Floor/Reading Lamp in BRASS!

I love the modern vibe mixed with my ornate gold mirror, but it easily lends itself to any
style. I've used it for several clients over the years, it's great quality and budget friendly!
A perfectly simple addition that you'll love long after the holidays have passed.

My spray painted version.

We'll be back next Tuesday sharing one last new room idea.

Fall Into the Holidays ~ Bedroom Ceiling Pizazz

Welcome to week two of  FALL INTO THE HOLIDAYS, a four week series
where we'll be sharing ideas for sprucing up our homes before the holiday season kicks into
high gear. Our lovely hostess Lisa @ Shine Your Light came up with the idea by asking friends
what they'd most like to see on blogs - hands down, simple, do-able ideas were the favorite!
This week we're focusing on the BEDROOM.
Don't miss my talented friends at the end of the post, you'll want to pop over and check
 out their fun ideas too!

Today I'm sharing my friend's ceiling in her guest bedroom. She painted it a bold accent
color and it added so much pizazz! Its a simple, budget friendly way to inject a fun look
if your guest room needs a refresh before holiday guests arrive.

I love the vibrant coral, rust shade that she pulled from her blanket, custom pillow and
roman shade. It's Sherwin Williams 7600 - Bolero.

We still have a plan for black and white artwork beneath the sconces to
finish off the room.

I think it's the perfect unexpected bold choice and totally makes the room.

We'll be back next Tuesday sharing a new room idea, and if you missed last
week I dished about an easy kitchen update here

Don't miss these friends' ideas, too!

Fall into the Holidays ~ Kitchen

Welcome to FALL INTO THE HOLIDAYS, a four week series where we'll be sharing
ideas for sprucing up our homes before the holiday season kicks into high gear.
Our lovely hostess Lisa @ Shine Your Light came up with the idea by asking friends what
they'd most like to see on blogs - hands down, simple, do-able ideas were the favorite!
So that's our goal - and this week we're focusing on the kitchen.
Don't miss my talented friends at the end of the post, you'll want to pop over and check
 out their fun ideas too!

You guys this is one of those, "I can't believe I waited so long to do this" items.
It's been three and a half years since I did our kitchen update for the One Room Challenge.
I LOVED the vibrant flat weave wool rug I chose, but sadly it was a maintenance nightmare,
and didn't last at our house. It attracted Golden Retriever hair like flies to dog doo!

In the meantime we lived with this BLAH brown, low maintenance natural
fiber rug that wore like iron and hid ALL the things! And, when I wanted to
change it up, I flipped it over! Yep, reversible to the other BLAH brown side!
If that wasn't enough, the edges started looking ratty and one corner curled a little that
you tripped over if it wasn't strategically placed.
#soembarassing

I've finally found something that I think will work, this medallion rug is $30, and has
great reviews.  It's washable, I haven't had a washable rug for a zillion years, I didn't even
know they made them anymore. I'll let you know how it goes.
#feelingstylish

I love that it has the vibe of this beautiful rug...

Thanks for stopping by friends, hope you're inspired to make a little change.
We'll be back next Tuesday sharing more ideas.

Don't miss these friends' ideas!
