christmas 2013...home tour

Welcome everyone, and thanks so much for stopping by today to check out our
Christmas decor. I've loved peeking at all of the beautiful and inspiring homes on
The 12 Days of Christmas Tour of Homes.
A huge thank you to Jenny @ Evolution of Style & Lisa @ Shine Your Light
 for organizing the tour.

Yesterday my sweet friend, Kris @ Driven by Decor shared her gorgeous home,
she has a fresh, classic style that's warm and cozy. I'm excited to try her fun recipe that is
a tradition ~ I've never made them, but I have a feeling once I do we'll be hooked.
Intrigued... :)  Click on the link below.

 Come in, friends...

Living room...

Our branch tree looking into the dining room...
in case you think I saved last year's tree, nope. This one is actually much different, ten
feet tall, and fluffier like a tumbleweed, kind of. Later in the week I'll share how I did it. :)

family room...

the kitchen...

our girl...

I know life, decor and even dogs :) can tend to appear perfect in the blogging world,
and I always share the pretty, edited stuff with you, but at least once a week I say to
 my friends or my family,
"Oh my gosh, if only my blog friends could see this."
In fact, I said it last Friday night when I took this dessert to our annual lasagna dinner
with some of our favorite friends. They all know that despite the perfect looking photos
I'm a busy mom who gets overwhelmed, can't do it all, and tries to make a DQ ice
cream cake look good by putting it on a pretty cake plate...I wanted you all to know, too. :)

You're in for a treat tomorrow - the talented Elizabeth @ The Little Black Door is up,
and I'd bet my life on it she'll have something vibrant, fun and unexpected!
I can't wait!

Thank you again for stopping by, dear friends!

Welcoming and warm - those are the two words that come to mind with every photo, starting with the first one of your home all lit up for Christmas! I love all your creative touches like your unique version of a Christmas tree, the leopard print mixed in with plaid, the use of fresh greens everywhere, and that gorgeous bedecked dining room chandelier!!!!!! Your home is just beautiful Pam, how I wish I could come sit on your family room couch in front of your fireplace and chat with you in person this Christmas season! I almost feel like I am transported there by taking your tour - thanks so much for sharing your interesting and festive home!! I love it and you!

Julia@Cuckoo4Design said...

So gorgeous! I can't get over that tree. It's so difference and magical. I totally love it.
And I'm so loving all the leopard with your green and plaid and of course GOLD.

Kim @ Savvy Southern Style said...

Your home is always gorgeous, Pam, but wow at Christmas it is stunning. Love your unique tree.

Kim @ Plumberry Pie said...

Pam, it's simply beautiful! And having a blanket of snow in your exterior shot, makes it look like a Christmas card. Gorgeous!! Quick question...how do you keep your live greens fresh and not dried out...spritzing? I did live greens once and it was a brittle, crumbly mess. I guess I didn't think of spritzing. ;) Have a fabulous holiday! So glad I've gotten to know you through the blogosphere! You are a true talent and absolutely sweet person.

The house looks amazing, Pam! I love your 'Joy to the World' plaque and how you have decorated the gorgeous dining room chandelier and your branch tree is unique. Lovely greens everywhere! Thank you for sharing your home and also the reality of how busy we truly are and yes, some of us do share the edited version.

You do make it all look so easy my friend!!! Your home looks so festive and truly elegant all bedecked for Christmas. You had me at the front door, your exterior decor is amazing. Can't wait to hear all about the twig tree, it is fab. And what's wrong with a DQ ice cream cake all dolled up???!!!

Absolute perfection! From the magazine-worthy exterior to the gorgeous rooms, your style is the perfect mix of classic, modern, collected-over-time beauty. The bar cart photo, tartan bookcases, airy tree, master styling...love it all. Oh how I admire your talent, vision, and work ethic. Not to mention how much better the DQ cake made me feel! Thank you for sharing, Pam.

Gorgeous. And how nice of Mother Nature to sprinkle her fairy dust outside for us....makes it even more magical. The inside of the house is as welcoming as the out. Love it all.
And I know Birthday wishes are in order-afraid I may have missed it. But know you are right here in with me and Diana.
