perfectly playful...pom poms

There's no denying a pom pom detail delivers up a good dose of whimsy!
The unexpected use of it in the sophisticated rooms below took me by surprise.
Adding trim would be an easy diy - as simple as grabbing your glue gun or sewing machine.
I'm still loving the ikat pillow I made to give my room some pizazz!

I think they're all around fun, no matter where they show up!

I've been wanting to add pom poms somewhere in our home. I'm totally drooling over the curtains in that room with the orange chair!

I need to save some of your images. Whenever I suggested adding pom pom trim to client's curtains, I get a really strange look. ha!

These are fantastic examples and so fun! I often think of Pom poms as a drapery trim or for kids rooms but these are very sophisticated! Who knew! Love the balloons. Happy weekend Pam! have a whimsical time. Xo Nancy

I love that it is making a comeback. My grandma used to use it all the time in her sewing projects. My only concern is that my sweet little Cairn will think they are toys for her to chew on!! LOL

So simple and sweet! I used to think poms in interiors felt too young and kiddy but now I see how they can instantly uplift the most banal designs. Love a little sense of humor applied to interiors...more peeps need to get on board! Thanks for the reminder, great post!

Have an awesome weekend, so glad I stumbled upon your blog :D

Love pom pom trim. In my last house I bought white duck curtains from Ballards that had pom pom trim on the leading edge. They are the one thing I am sorry to have left behind since Ballards doesn't sell them anymore! But you're right - adding pom pom trim to anything is as easy as breaking out the glue gun (don't mention the sewing machine!) Hope you are having a wonderful weekend my dearest!

Such a fun detail...always loved pompoms (maybe because I was a cheerleader in high school lol). Never saw balloons with them but how cute!

They are so fun. I just gave away yards and yards of them in my clean out.
