One of my favorite old pots finally bit the dust last weekend.
Not to worry, we'll just bury it in the garden!
It's as simple as strategically placing the broken side of the pot in the ground,
then planting your flowers or ground cover in a mound to disguise it.
An added bonus, some texture and interest to your garden!
Perfect examples...

Very cute ideas! I love the way the flowers look like they are spilling out!
Your dog certainly seems concerned! It is always a shame when pots break, but some of those planting schemes are gorgeous.
What a pretty idea! I would never have thought of that!
Very cute idea! your beautiful Rio is adorable, too!

I'm a big fan of this look. Such an easy way to bring in dimension. Looking forward to your 'after' shots.
I've seen this done before and I always think it's so neat. I can't wait to pick out a few annuals for the garden this year.
Over the years I've tossed out so many pots I can't count them. Who knew then it would be cool to plant them in the ground? Love this post!

Great idea! I'm gonna be planting some pots this weekend - finally! YAY:)
Smart! Great way to add something a little unexpected! Planting beds today...
Love that look. Reminds me of a little secret garden! xoxo
Such pretty photos, Pam. I love how you find the silver lining to a broken pot. Poor Rio looks upset about the pot.
You know, I've seen the pots tipped over with flowers 'pouring' out of them and I love them, but I would never have thought to use one of my broken pots! What a perfect idea! Gretchen, I'm like you, I've tossed out numerous broken pots over the years! Now do we accidentally break our pots so we can do this! lol :)

What kind of flower is the purple one spilling out of the pot in picture number 1?
Hi Lynn, I think it looks like lobelia. It's so pretty!
