Our Christmas Home Tour 2016 - Part 2

Have you all been following along with all the amazing Christmas Tours ~ I've already
started a collection of ideas for next year! As promised I'm back with the rest our
Christmas tour, if you missed Part 1 our Living & Dining Room tour is here.
Today I'll be sharing our Family Room and Kitchen.

Welcome if you're coming over from Vel's @ Life & Home at 2102 she always does
a beautiful job, this year her stunning tree is one of my favs!
Next up on the tour is Sarah @ Thrifty Decor Chick, she is a gem and crazy talented,
she was one of the very first blogs I read, I would've never dreamed I'd be on a home tour
with her and I can't wait to pop over and see what she has for us!

Thank you to the lovely ladies hosting the 12 Days of Holiday Homes!!
Jenny @ Evolution of Style & Christy & Amy @ 11 Magnolia Lane

~ Family Room ~

As I mentioned in Part 1 of my tour, I'm drawn to more simple Christmas
decor these days and foregoing all the stuff in lieu of mostly fresh greens from
our yard and a few special items. I like to keep the colors cohesive throughout
the rooms and added a few larger blush colored ornaments to our tree.

I loved the colors in this pillow from HomeGoods and gave in to my addiction.
How could I not, look how perfect it is with the floral artwork I found thrifting a
couple years ago. I'm not sure if I ever mentioned it, but my friend and I were at
an antique store and came across a pair of huge brass lamps, and we each took one.
The oversized pinecones are from a fun vacation in Lake Tahoe, I filled my suitcase.

I added eucalyptus to the garland on on our mantel this year.
I made the fur trimmed stockings a few years ago because we needed some that were
larger ~ we love our stocking tradition! Santa always spoiled us with all kinds of fun surprises
when I was growing up, and the tradition continues.

Did you guys notice my BIG mirror was missing from my living room tour?
I (not really me!) moved it to our family room and love it.

~ Kitchen ~

The gorgeous Blended Bay wreath on my hood is from Lynch Creek Farms, and
I couldn't be more impressed! I'd never ordered a wreath before, only purchased them
from a big box store, but I'm sold. It's full, lush and so fresh!
I've had it on my hood for two and a half weeks and it's just as fresh as the day it was
delivered. It would be a wonderful gift!
I accidentally spritzed mine with cleaning solution instead of water one day
(actually the only day I spritzed) :(  So, the bay leaves on the bottom left are a tad
wilted - 100% my fault! I felt so badly that I wasn't going to represent their gorgeous
wreath well that I tried to find replacement bay leaf sprigs - no luck, so I'm
coming clean. I'm so sorry Lynch Creek Farms, it doesn't look bad to me at all but
I was afraid you'd notice! I truly love it, thank you!

This simple corner has my grandma's vintage ornaments and the framed needlepoint
florals were done by Mr. Simple's grandma.

I like keeping a few essentials corralled on this brass tray on our counter, and added
some striped wrapping and a floral pick to a candle to give it a festive touch.

My sweet girl, Rio!

That's it for our tour friends, thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.
I love sharing our home with you, and always appreciate you reading and your
sweet comments!

I love how you've scaled down all the Christmas "stuff" and have made your home beautiful with simple things. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous home!

So many simple - beautiful - details! I think my favorite is the Grandma Corner, I didn't realize those framed pictures in your kitchen were actually needlepoint! What a treasure. Also I love where you hung your gorgeous wreath - that way you can enjoy it all season long. The bay leaf wreath is so pretty, I'll have to remember that one for next year. Festive, warm and inviting - your home never disappoints! Thanks for the tour sweet friend!

Great minds think alike. We chose the same Lynch Farms wreath and I have that black and white polka dot paper! I decided not to use it because my look is more muted this year but it sure looks fabulous in your house! I laughed when you said you were getting rid of the green in your dining room...did you see what the color of the year is?

your tree is just amazing! what a beautiful tour, pam... but rio stoke the show at the end!

Your wreath still looks gorgeous, Pam, although that made me smile. 'Tis the time of year to make that sort of mistake as we rush around getting things ready! As always, your home is lovely and one of my very favorite tours. Golden hugs to Rio from Harley, and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours!

So peaceful, beautiful and welcoming, Pam. Your tree is gorgeous and so is Rio. Your green dining room was a trendsetter- 2017 Color of the Year! Now let's take care of those pretty drinks!

PVC tarps are mostly used as truck covers while the tarps made from polyethylene and polypropylene are used for grain bunker covers and large shelters. These Tarps are available in different sizes and weights which makes them flexible to use in different conditions.
