our $139 walmart christmas tree

We decided to get a new Christmas tree this year, our old artificial tree is big,
a beast to put together, some of the lights were out last year and we weren't up for
messing with it anymore, the base is about five feet wide which interferes with tv
watching in our family room and you can guess who cares about that!
We decided the perfect one needed to be tall and narrow, and we'd make it a fun
outing and go cut our own since we hadn't ever done it.
Thank goodness, we came to our senses - as quintessential as it sounds, we are so not
that family. We were happy as clams to pop open the new box and have it up in
ten minutes with the lights on! :)

We chose this convenient, reasonable, pretty, artificial tree from Walmart,
with a perfect dusting of snow. :)

I love it and wanted to share in case you find yourselves needing a new tree.
Our store had a large selection of several different tree styles and sizes,
I saw many of the same at other retail stores priced much higher.

Walmart - here
Holiday Time 7.5' Pre Lit Winter Frost Pine Tree

Width at Base 48"
$149
 or $139
if you have a savvy teenager with you that notices their price matching sign and
in a flash finds it on Amazon for $139.

Wishing all of you the
Happiest Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

Don't forget to stop back on Friday to share your November project at Best of the Nest.

wow! that is one beautiful tree and so real looking (without all the shedding!) we bought a pre-lit tree a few years ago and while i will always love the look and smell of a real live tree, i think the store bought ones are more practical now...and certainly just as pretty.

hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Ha! Too funny! We are that family and we enjoy cutting our tree down every year with 3 other families etc..But this year I'm thinking of getting a second tree in the dining room as well and I love this one. How wide is it? I don't see the dimensions on the Overstock site..

Oh, look at you switching things up! Unconventional to traditional...change is a good thing. I keep trying to talk my family into a fake tree but there's just no having it. Yours is a beauty!

Love that tree....but I love the hunt and story better. Your comment, "We are so not that Family" cracked me up!!! These kids and their ability to work the internet is amazing!
Congratulations on a great find!

Wal Mart has some surprisingly nice, quality trees and for really great prices! My daughter's tree in her room fuzzed out this year so she picked out a replacement at Wally World last night, actually! And their real trees were low priced too although I think we are going to the tree lot for our real tree this year. I tried to steer her toward a pre lit white tree but she was not having it. She wanted green and she wanted colored lights. But I admitted to her later that she was right and it actually looks great in her room. I learned my lesson - trust the six-year-old and her decorating tastes! Happy Thanksgiving, Pam!

We have always had a live tree. And as I've gotten older I find myself wishing to get an artificial one. But my husband won't hear of it. Between the needles on the floor and the branches not supporting my ornaments...I'm so over it.
Your new tree is so pretty it doesn't even need ornaments. Does the flocking flake off? That would be as bad as needles.

I was thinking about what kind of tree you'll have this year Pam since you always come up with such unique ones! We have a similar tree, from Walmart too,I got mine last year after Christmas for a steal at $35!!!! I'll share it soon! Can't wait to see yours!
