We had a fun weekend celebrating and participating in our first high school homecoming!
Bittersweet...of course it's exciting seeing them growing into their own person, but it
goes by way too fast and makes me so sad to think we only have a few years left of these
memorable high school events. I remember these two in the same kindergarten class like
it was yesterday, she's that sweet girl any mom would approve of. :)
Thank goodness for wrist corsages. I was telling him how lucky they are they don't have
to pin them on the girl's dress anymore, while the parents watched, and then the mom
would jump in and offer to help, rescuing everyone from the totally awkward situation.
Being a boy mom I thought I was going to miss out on the You Tube Videos,
but we took advantage and learned how to tie a bow tie.
After getting together for pictures they went to dinner at Macaroni Grill, and then to the dance
at school. I love that they're comfortable going as a big group of friends, and you don't have
to have a date.
to have a date.
I'm thankful for such a wonderful group of kids, and
I'm thankful they're not old enough to drive yet and had to be chauffeured around! :)
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for a surprise ~ hint, hint, it's a birthday giveaway!

What a cute group of friends. And great that they don't have to have a date. I remember mine and still remember my girls banquets and proms. I dropped the oldest one off and cried like a baby, knowing she was so grown up. Your boy is very handsome and love the bow tie. Very in these days. Have a great week. Ana
what a sweet looking group!!! aaaw, your son is so handsome, pam, and his date is adorable!
Oh my goodness he is so handsome! LOVE the bow tie ( may have to go that route for my younger guy this homecoming. Love that your son and his dat have known each other since kindergarten and Love that his momma knows how to choose a stunning corsage (worth every penny!) Hope they had a blast!!!!
Precious, precious memories. Your son is adorable! (Takes after his momma no doubt.)
What an adorable couple! Love the bow tie, I also watched the You Tube tutorials this summer as our son received a real bow tie for graduation. Trickier than I thought. Enjoy the activity as it will be over too soon. We are trying to adjust to the quiet over here. Our nest is now empty :o(
So adorable! Our homecoming is soon. One of our sons has a date and the other needs to get on the ball :). Bow ties are my favorite!
How fun! They all look great! My son decided to wear a bow tie to prom last year and we also consulted youtube for a tutorial on how to tie it :) What did we do before youtube?
Oh homecomings are so fun, we still have a few more years of them as well! Beautiful photos! xo

So sweet! I love that they went as a big group too. This is on my horizon...2 more years and I'll be there. eek!
Your Detail Boy and his friends are fabulous. It's great that they go in a "group". Treasure this time Pam, it flies by all to quickly!
It does go by so fast....it seems like just yesterday my kids were that age...my son just turned 31...
Enjoy every minute....
Love that the young man is wearing a bow tie - so chic and proper ! I'm glad too that they still want to go out in big groups, the bigger, the better and the merrier! Time flies really, enjoy and cherish these moments Pam!
Is it your birthday? Advance Happy birthday in that case! I'll be dropping by of course not just for the give away but to greet you again!
Doesn't time fly! The young men and women look absolutely adorable! Hold onto these memories always!
Best,
Karolyn
Congrats on this rite of passage ( for you!) It brings back the fondest memories of my kids and I know you are so proud of your handsome son! It is bittersweet, but being involved the whole way eases the pain :)

Oh how fun. Everyone looks so handsome and beautiful. I agree, not driving is a huge plus.
