faux fur...in summer?

Are you a fan of these popular faux fur pillows?
I love the texture, color, cozy vibe, bit of glam and they can work almost anywhere.
BUT, as much as I want to make one to include in my decor...
they look too hot for summer!
Is it just me, what do you think?

Anyone else notice that gorgeous stump?  I may steal the one from Detail Boy's room!

In white they work year round! Definitely.
And I love that stump too! Might have to find me a tree to play with!

I think the faux fur is a great unexpected piece...but I am loving that stump...I remember way back when...when cypress stumps were all the rage in Florida...My dad made an accent table from a cypress stump with a "slice" of a stump for the top...hmmm, I wonder if my mom still has it?..

Love the Flokati pillows! I just used then in my last staging (this Summer) and they looked great! Target has them for about $25 and everyone else wants $60 or more so Target is the place to go for them.

I like them year-round, as long as I'm not snugglin' up next to them in the summer.

I love these white furry pillows. They feel more summery and year 'round than the darker fur ones, I think.
Good luck with your stump :)

The stump is my kind of texture, but the furry pillow is not my bag. I always think they look cute in rooms when I see them (especially in the examples you show here) but it's not for me. I'm not a furry kind of girl, BUT I have been enlightened to leopard - I think I could do a hit of leopard somewhere, maybe. Maybe. :)

I think they are such a fun touch to a room. I see it more in the fall and winter, but I guess it can work during the summer as well. I love the same kind of fur on a little stool as well! A DIY of that would be fun :)

oh, i love a good mongolian lamb pillow no matter the season. especially a white one. now i do agree that the fur throws have no place in a room during summer :)

The furry pillows look light and airy, but I would not lean on them if given the option - in the summer. Loving that stump!

I'm not a fan of the furry pillows. Maybe other people are but I'm not a cat fan and I hate feathers, so the idea of putting my head on that kind of pillow kind of freaks me out. Hey, I'm old and I have a lot of opinions I never had in my 30's. Actually, they are kind of a recyled fad we had in the 60's and I hated them then.

I had a couple in black and then I traded them out for tapestry. I think the white are a more versatile color.

The stump is perfect! I love how it makes the room feel more organic. The leaf lamp is pretty cool, too!

I love the addition of a fur pillow to a room and that stump is awesome. My mum did something like that in my brothers room when we were younger. xo

That first bedroom is so gorgeous! I think faux fur accents can definitely work in summer as long as you stay with lightly colored fur like in these photos!
