A little hiccup on the ladder project. Let's just say if you see a cool project on Pinterest,
and the blogger says, "Look what I made in an hour!"
You might want to read the tutorial completely, because come to find out there was
no way I could have finished it in an hour!
So instead I have something pretty for you...
Remember my buffet I got on Craigslist with the chairs,
it's been here in this holding place until it moves to the top of my to-do list.
The beautiful flowers are from my all-time BEST neighbor and sweet friend.
Remember the table that came with the chairs and buffet from Craigslist,
I didn't need it, so I asked her if she wanted it.
She saved me from the hassle of putting it back on Craigslist.
Then out of the blue I called her and asked,
"In return for the table can we use your vehicle to pick up our Ikea pieces?"
Like anyone would do, we put some gas in their vehicle.
She shows up with flowers because of the gas.
So, now I need to whip up a batch of something yummy to deliver.
AND, guess who calls me first thing this morning and asks,
"Do you really need a ladder?"
"I have an old one in the garage if you want it!"
Now, I need a BIG plate of REALLY DELICIOUS goodies to deliver!
Do you have GREAT neighbors?

Looks beautiful Pam! Yes, I have fantastic neighbors and I'm so thankful!
I have one nice neighbor that loves to bake and brings us goodies. But old fashioned neighborliness has pretty much left modern day life, hasn't it? All the rest of our street, we just wave to each other as we come and go in our cars. Paying her back for her graciousness shows you are cut from the same cloth that she is!
Aww that's so awesome! Great neighbors are the best!
I'd let you "shop" my house anytime if it meant I'd get some of your cookin'!
Aww what a cute story. I've had two neighbors become my very best friends and they both moved, so Im in search of...
Pretty much it seems people keep to themselves these days.. So happy to hear you spreading the love.

I love your gladiolas. And that buffet has what appears to be the same exact stain as our beast in the bedroom. It's pretty ugly right? I look at our dresser everyday and think "mmm...is it really that bad - would updating the hardware improve the milk chocolate stain?" Please tell me you don't like that stain either. :) We do have nice neighbors - both neighbors on either side of us a few doors down have girls who are somewhat close in age w/ Sheila, so it's been fun to hang out this summer with them.
your flowers are gorgeous! and it sounds like your neighbors are awesome, but also sounds like you are an awesome neighbor. :)
haha thats a great story! She sounds like the all time best neighbor :) And, anytime I see a time frame of someone elses project I go ahead and double that because I always take WAY longer!
I might have really nice neighbors, but I wouldn't know since I'm not a nice neighbor myself so I don't talk to them. Lol. This is actually true.
Pam, you always find such great things.
How awesome to have a neighbor like that! I WISH you were mine :)
How sweet! I'm kinda loving your buffet just as it is!
I want to borrow your neighbor! :) She sounds like the best!
The buffet looks pretty as it's waiting for its turn..
I'll bet your neighbor feels lucky too!
It is great when you have good neighbours like that.
Ahh, thanks for sharing that things don't always go according to plan and that's totally fine. :) Pretty flowers!
