winter weekend & wine tasting results you don't want to miss...

Hey everyone, hope you all enjoyed the long weekend, we're getting back to reality
after a few days of playing in the gorgeous Colorado mountains with friends.
Remember this fun party, we wrote what we loved about the birthday girl on my
chalkboard, and one of them included her 'ski house in Winter Park.' We hung there for
the past few days with dear friends and their families. Since I have a pile of laundry, an
empty refrigerator, and and my ORC project to work on for tomorrow's post (yikes) I'm
keeping it short today with some pictures of our weekend fun.

Setting up for a special Birthday Girl...

Sledding...Mom's won't be outdone by the kids...

Trying to make our sweet friend feel old with a little inferno... :)

An exciting day on the slopes...one kiddo had to return to the house with a tummy bug,
and one broke her arm! These two cute girls, and expert skiers, survived all day...

Hot tub and a blind wine tasting was in order after enduring that...

We all chose our Top 2  -  The least expensive bottle beat out the most expensive!
We don't claim to be connoisseurs, but 5 out of 8 voted the $6 Malbec as their #1 pick.

#1 -  Marcus James Malbec -  $6
#2 - Tignanello 2008 - $100

Can't live without our electronics...

Breakfast before heading home...

A perfect weekend...friends, food, wine, and fresh Colorado mountain air.
Life is good!

Looks like a blast! That cake looks amazing, are those malted milk balls on top? Good tip on the Malbec..I've never seen that one, and I claim to be the master of bottles $10 and under! Good luck this week, so glad you got away!

Lots of fun! Love the photo of the Mom's sledding. And what is that chocolate "cake" goodness I see? The blind wine tasting is fun - I'll have to organize that after I have the baby.

That cakes looks so good. Love that pic of you and your friends sledding. We also went with friends to a ski cabin and there were a ton of electronics for the tweens! Stacks of iPads everywhere.

Pam, Your weekend looks so fun! I like to do the blind wine tasting :) It's always surprising what constitutes a "good" wine .. it's not always about the price. If it tastes good, it's a good wine! What a fun group and I'd be right there on that sled with y'all! How fun is that?!

I've been out of blogging recently because I've had problems with google or blogger.com that has not been resolved. It's been very irritating and I certainly do not want to start all over. I'm thinking about stopping altogether or hiring someone (never wanted to do that).

Have a great week!
