dining room update

I've been playing with options working hard on the chairs.
I was still considering having them done professionally, today I got the estimate,
$230 each plus 2 yards of fabric each.
So...my motivation for doing them myself is to buy something fun with the $$ I save.

I (actually, WE - thank you, mr. simple) almost have them both uncovered.
Here a a few fabric samples I started with, no decisions yet.
Remember, I'm planning to use two coordinating fabrics.

Casual linen look.

These are much dressier, both fabrics have a gray/silver metallic thread.

This large pattern has gold metallic thread and linen look background.

Sorry I didn't get them all in the photo, I hadn't planned to post this...

Any favorite?
I've also been scouring Craigslist for the other four chairs, no luck yet.
Stay tuned...

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
Thank you for all of your encouragement that I can recover these,
it truly wouldn't be near as much fun without you!

Tough decision these are all such great combinations! I think I like the first casual linen look or the dressy silver look. Hmmm.....good luck deciding!

Three great choices but I think my favorite is the first one with the black and white and zebra print combo. Can't wait to see what you chose...

Hi Pam, LOVE your fabric choices, but I think the first group will make a huge designer statement.. my next choice is the 3rd set, classy and elegant like you! Have a great weekend.

I know you can do it and after you read a few tutorials you'll have your own "Pam" method down and will be able to share with us. I love that fabric on the far left of your last photo (also shown in your first photo) but I like it paired with that metallic pebble/floral fabric. Are you still looking for fabrics? Or did you narrow it down to these? mmm...I'm going to have to keep thinking about this. I think it will also depend on the lines of the chairs you choose too.

You can't go wrong with any of those selections. So pretty! Can't wait to see if you pick the one I think you will.

I think you should go with the first one. I love it! Could you tell me who the manufacture is on the 3 fabric. I have a client who has the raindrop looking fabric on her dinning room chairs and that 3rd fabric would look great with it.

Hmmm, you've got some tough choices there! I think I like the little bit of cleaner look of the first two, but I know whatever you choose will be stunning. Hang in there, I think the breaking down is the hardest part. Have a great weekend, Pam!

I like them all. Are you planning on keeping the rug? I like the large pattern with gold metallic/linen look - it is elegant and casual and would be perfect if you are mixing things up. Have to start working on my dining room chairs.

I was literally oooh-ing and ah-ing as I scrolled through your selections. You have such a way with fabrics, Pam. I LOVE them all. I love the bold look of #1 but also the subtle neutral #3. I'm no help, because if I were faced with this decision, I would call the expert--YOU!

Regarding the fabrics- I love the first one but truly they are all great. The post about the mismatched chairs is so packed with inspiration- right up my alley!!!

Number 1 is the hands down winner in my book! Good luck on your Craigslist search - I just sold 2 chairs I didn't need anymore. Out with the old and in with more old!

I love the first one. Also, it is very interesting that your wall paint color changes to blend with each fabric. Would love to know the maker of the first set.

I think my favorite is the first one, but it's such a personal choice as it depends on the overall look you are going for. They are all great choices. Can't wait to see them done! And yep, nothing like estimates to get you motivated, huh!
