Another crazy Craigslist score!

Do you guys remember just 2 weeks ago I mentioned I was envious of
this fabulous Lutyen's garden bench we ordered for my client?

I've NEVER seen one on Craigslist, and on Sunday evening I happened to be
 looking for a bench for another client's dining room and look what I come across!!!

Seriously, C-R-A-Z-Y!!!

And, it turned out to be the most fun Craigslist pick up ever!

A darling lady was selling it, and her property was SO charming I couldn't help
 but ask if she'd give me a tour (outside) and if I could feature her on my blog.
She was so gracious and said, "Yes" to both! :)
The impeccable grounds oozed of creativity and inspiration at every turn.
 It was a delight hearing how it evolved over the years, and of the special family
celebrations she'd hosted,
I asked why she was selling the bench, and she replied,
"I'm a big Craigslister and found a new one. I sell things so I'm not a hoarder."

(Ha! I should take note!)

My bench is going to get a new paint job - I think the pretty silhouette will
show up best against our white house in glossy black.
I can't wait to get started!

 

   

  

So excited about this DIY!!

Hey everyone, hope you had a nice weekend!

We had a wonderful time celebrating all the awesome fathers in our family with

 brunch at my parent's. It was a 99 degree scorcher in Denver, lounging and switching

 between golf and a car auction were the activities of choice (by the men)!

Do you remember this inspiration photo for the One Room Challenge Great Room

I just completed? I mentioned how much I LOVED the $$$ Saville cabinet from

 Ebanista. I hadn't thought about it, but a few of you encouraged me to DIY one. 

Well...the perfect cabinet popped up on Craigslist!          

  

If you use your imagination you can see how I could come up with something

similar, right?   

Here are some closeups of the painted detail.

  I'm hoping I can replicate the hand painted appearance of the 22K gold they use! 

Keep your fingers crossed for me, and I'll keep you updated.

We ordered this Lutyens Bench for my client, it's fabulous and I'm envious. 

I added this Greek Key Doormat to my front porch, the 47" width is nice.
I asked my friend if she wanted one too, and then we'd get free shipping. :)    

Cute open shoulder top with lace trim is a steal.

The fresh and effortlessly chic, relaxed vibe in this home is so inspiring.
