mirror mirror in the garden...

When I was searching for ideas on Pinterest working on my potting bench today,
I noticed this amazing bench and the mirror above it!
Which now has me thinking about the space above mine.
Also, wouldn't a lamp create a pretty atmosphere outside?
(At the end of the post I share another diy gone bad my outdoor lighting idea!)

That mirror led me down this path...

So, you're probably wondering about my lighting idea...
remember back in October I scored this at a church sale for $10.

It was too large for any space, and then I thought of my back porch today...

I turned off the electricity, took the other light down, hooked up the wires,
turned the electricity back on to be sure it worked, see that bright bulb, yes!  :)
Good to go.

Ta Da!

Mr. Simple came home and said, "That's not an outdoor light, water will get in there!"

I debated if I should share this for fear my readers will start dropping like flies!
Back to sanding the potting bench (and putting the old light back)!

Lol, he's right, but it is a pity, because it looks good there.
I particularly like the mirror that looks like a large window.

also i love the look of mirrors in gardens! just have ot make sure it isn't anywhere the sun will hit because i don't want to blind my neighbors!

I'm just impressed that you knew how to switch it out and do the electrical work yourself. You go girl!

Like Dana, I am impressed you switched that light out with no problems...one thing I have yet to do! And I bought a light on sale Monday which will need some electrical help...to the garage it goes until I have time for that!! :)

Man did Mr. Simple ever rain on your parade! But he's right... too bad because I was so impressed that you installed that light all by yourself! And now that you have to re-install the old light you are going to be really good at it!!!

Aww man, it looks so pretty too! I am very impressed that you changed out that light fixture solo - it's so cumbersome isn't it? I am not surprised though - you are a go-getter Pam! So where is it going to end up?

Wow! I'm impressed with your electrical skills and those photos are so pretty. You've inspired me to get my deck "decked out."

hey I'm impressed that you could wire in the new light yourself!! You could take the wiring out and use it as a candle chandi in your garden somewhere!

I'm laughing like crazy because Mr. Bird Nest would say the same thing. I think you should be congratulated on doing it alone. I'd probably electrocute myself. The mirror is a great idea though.

Rats! I love unique things like that in unexpected places. Good idea, anyway! You could totally take the wiring out and use it with candles...The mirror plan is terrific, keep working away, ready to see that space!

oh man, but it looks too good to take down! Darn. I love it.
I am obsessed with mirrors, but never thought of one outside til I saw a Novogratz show where they did that... really cool.

So impressed as I'm not electrically-inclined. Beautiful mirrors!

Impressed that you can install electrical - that is really good. Electrical scares the heck out of me. So points for your effort!!

THAT may be my next quick project. Since I sanded and repainted my bench in your honor, then bought a couple pillows that I tied on with ribbons, I may need a monogrammed burlap (got it) out there too!! Need to figure out the inside so it can stay outside! As always, THANKS!!

“Also, wouldn't a lamp create a pretty atmosphere outside?”—Actually, light fixtures can add aesthetics to your home, especially during night time. It can bring coziness on your abode, which can set a relaxing mood.

Birds have no idea what a mirror is. They fly into them and it can be fatal. Go online for more about this. It's bad enough that our high-rise buildings are the worst, but to introduce this into a sweet garden is irresponsible.

You're right, Fran, I hadn't even thought of birds flying into them. Thanks for letting me know.

Recently, my wife and I bought a house in Virginia and moved there permanently. We got a large piece of empty land in the backyard and I decided to use it to the maximum advantage. I have planted several fruit trees and shrubs in my garden, and also set aside an area for planting medical cannabis. I ordered cannabis seeds from this useful source and they sent me great seeds. Now my medical cannabis has matured in the fresh air and soon I will be harvesting my first harvest.

I have one idea you need. If you are concerned about your physical condition and fatigue, I advise you to rest. There are different ways to do this. I personally chose such a tool as CBD, which I order from this link. It allows me to fully relax and restore my strength. There you can read the varieties of this product and you can place an order as well.

Currently, you need to find out this aspect of your health. Until recently, I had the same question and decided to look for a tool that is useful for restoring the balance between rest and work. I finally found this service https://westcoastsupply.cc/products/cannabis/budget-buds/ where I ordered products that help me relax and gain strength for further work. I really hope that it will be of use to you.

Wow, that potting bench with the mosaic mirror above it sounds absolutely stunning! I can only imagine how charming and stylish that setup must be. Incorporating a mirror above your potting bench is a brilliant idea as it not only adds a touch of elegance but also reflects light, making the space feel brighter and more spacious.

And you're absolutely right about the lamp idea! Outdoor lighting plays a crucial role in creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere in any outdoor space. A beautiful lamp strategically placed near your potting bench can add a magical ambiance during the evenings, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy your garden.

I'm also intrigued by your outdoor lighting DIY experience! Sometimes, these projects can take an unexpected turn, but that's the beauty of DIY - we learn and grow with every attempt. Don't worry; it happens to the best of us! It might make for a funny story to share with your readers, and who knows, they might even have some tips or tricks to help salvage your original idea.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the mosaic mirror and outdoor lighting. I can't wait to see how you transform your potting bench space! Happy gardening and DIYing!
