builder beige to breathtaking...

Do you guys have me figured out, if I have a productive weekend you get a DIY reveal
on Monday, if I've played you get something else. I played...you get to reap the benefits,
a tour of my friend's finished bedroom. A few months ago I shared her new home in this post,  Builder Beige to Black Beauty.
If you remember, she had all of her interior doors and trim painted black, and
incorporated several custom features including stunning lighting choices. Her bedroom
has the same eclectic, global mix, and she successfully combined high and low pieces by
mixing family antiques with less expensive items from Ikea.

Artwork Ikea Premiar

Ritva Curtains with Tie Backs
She had the reversible duvet cover and bed skirt made from Ikea Ritva 10' curtains,
both are beautiful, you'd never know they weren't more expensive.

Ikea Akerkulla Embroidery Pillow
Three pillow shams with inserts Ikea Ursula

Both of her lamps were thrift store scores, this nightstand was painted in Annie Sloan
Chalk Paint - Graphite, but she added black ink to get the darker color.

"Wilson" a treasured piece from their travels holds colorful beads.

Paint Color - Sherwin Williams 8785 Iron Horse

Opposite the bed a gallery wall of favorite family photos helps to
camouflage the television.

I think she did a beautiful job creating a timeless and collected look.
Thank you for letting me share it, sweet bff!

Wow, I can't even say what my favorite is. But it just shows again how awesome Ikea is. At least I think so! Love the beads on the wood, the gallery wall, the duvet...well everything!

I simply love this room! We don't have an Ikea close by but it sure does give me some ideas/inspiration for our next trip. Yes we have big plans in the near future... finishing our bedroom, a complete redo of the young ones room which will infuse a little more of his style/tastes into it, and the eldest has big plans coming up which will give us a spare room... (not so happy about that one but it is time... i am happy for him though as he pursues his dreams!) wish us luck!

What a beautiful room. I love the dark moody color on the walls and how smart is that to use window panels for the duvet. Ikea is such a great place to shop!

I usually like really light colors on walls, but I LOVE this room. It looks so restful and I love all the Ikea items - we're big fans of mixing and matching Ikea finds in our home! x

This room is so unique looking, I love it. can't believe there is alot of Ikea in there cause it doesn't look it. That's making store bought your own personified! Tell her it's a big hit! have a great week Pam.
