My bff since 7th grade moved into a new home about a month ago and yesterday we
had a great time taking photos to share with you. She took a basic builder model from
beige to beautiful with several unique upgrades, and created a stunning one-of-a-kind home.

First, all the trim and doors throughout were painted black.
Standard builder lighting was replaced with unique fixtures.

Entry
An over-sized metal 'K' representing their last name.
Office
She recently repainted this wood desk and bookcase unit black.
(The hardware is about to get a coat of gold )
The patterned carpet was a great choice for interest.
A gallery wall of her husband's sports memorabilia fills the space between the wall unit
and ten foot ceiling.

Family Room
The lively burst of color and sophisticated mix perfectly captures her personality.
Mud Room
The breezeway between the house and garage was enclosed to create this Mud Room.

She painted the black & white stripes, I love this staggered arrangement she designed
using two different style hooks.

Kitchen
The contrast of black lower cabinets and light uppers creates a dramatic yet warm
and inviting space.
Glass doors and staggered cabinet height were additional upgrades
The chandeliers over the island are from Arhaus, the perfect balance of chic!
Didn't she do an amazing job creating a welcoming home filled with character?

Yes, yes, yes! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
What a beautiful home! I love all the high contrast black and white and the clearly personal touches.... makes it feel so homey. I might need to steal that coat off her mudroom hook too! :) Thanks for sharing.
I keep seeing the black doors on the web, but I'm scared to take the chance it wouldn't look good in my home... Having said that it looks great in this one! - Susan
I particularly like the kitchen, the staggered cabinets are inspired. It looks lovely throughout though, and definitely welcoming.
PAMMMMMM!!!!!
We have GOT to get your friend on here for a Q&A session! Where is the Metal K from? Where did she buy her sectional? Are her art pieces from galleries or big stores? AND WHERE DID SHE GET THE LEOPARD PRINT COAT AND CAN SHE PLEASE MODEL IT?!?!?!?!
Happy Tuesday! You have some very stylish friends!
I am so glad to see her kitchen!! I have been planning to paint my cabinets in the same manner, but I am a very visual person and I just couldn't imagine how the black bottoms and white tops would look. Now I know!! Beautiful home.
WOW!!!! it is stunning! i am not usually a black paint girl, but i LOVE the way she made it much more rustic... beautiful home!
What a beautiful home Pam! I LOVE her kitchen!
I love all the crisp black and white, especially the trim on the columns!

My goal is to bring my builder beige home into something wonderful like this! It's beautiful, the lighting choices really make a statement.
Absolutely scrumptious! Di must be tickled!
Beautiful! Loved the tour!
An orb light and blingy chandelier all in one? Get out! Your friend has some serious style! Love all of her choices. Let me guess...is that YOUR leopard coat used to style the mudroom hooks? Also really liking the black lower and white upper kitchen cabinets. This house is brimming with smart ideas! Can't wait to see more!
Now your friend is my type of Gal! Love, love it all.....how could I not...I have a black and white home also!

Thanks for the tour...from builder grade to fabulous!
You can never go wrong with black, imo. Beautiful home! Thanks for sharing.
It's beautiful Pam! (I'm feeling a little better to do some blog reading :) Painting the doors black was such a great decision. The entry and the house in general appear to be so filled with light which is so nice. I love her touches of color in the living room. I also see a worldly vibe going on as well as if they do a lot of traveling - it's a great mix of old world, traditional style. Thanks so much for sharing and can't wait to see more!!
Her home is stunning!....Love how she painted the stripes blending in with the hooks....and that chandelier is spectacular!....Thanks for sharing your BFF's home!!!
I see a little Pam influence??? Love it, and such a bold move to paint all the moulding black!! It is beautiful- tell her we all love it! I love the stripes in the mud room too. Im still not tired of those!

I surprised how much I like the doors and trim in black. Looks great Pam, nice photos.
Thank you for this wonderful tour! Love the office!
I noticed there is no crown molding painted black. I would like to paint my crown white and baseboards black. Is that a good decision?
Absolutely gorgeous! Loving that cowhide rug too! I still need one for my living room!
Lovely style
Oh yea! I was bummed when Diana stopped blogging about the progress. So glad you're sharing the goodies. It turned out amazing! She did such a good job with her bold choices. Love it and can't wait to see the rest!
She did an amazing job. Friends since 7th grade, that is incredible, and now you both have an amazing eye for design. My oldest friend and I have the same taste in food. Not helpful.
Just beautiful, and I'm completely head-over-heels for the chandelier. It's so unique and just exquisite!
Wow, she really took this place to a new level. I love the use of black trim and all her creative touches. The home looks so elegant and high-end now!
Gorgeous! She has a great eye. I love the white walls and black trim. My favorite may be the family room with the burst of color. Great photos, too!

Excellent post.
Hi Pam. This was extremely incomparable and innovative decor idea you put here for your numerous fans and readers. The images look so gorgeous and sparkling with unbearable beauties. Love your work definitely. I appreciate your unique stuff. Thanks for sharing such eye-catching post. BTW You can check this website for the black lantern pendant light. Hope adding this in your decor innovation might bring more attraction.
All the rooms are looking magnificent. The bath is adjacent to the master bed, which is good. There you can install several bath accessories to make your bath time cozier. You can use bath chair to have a balance over the water.
