Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Easter celebration!
We are dragging this morning after enjoying Spring Break, it takes no time for us to get into
vacation mode around here, and today...culture shock...we leave for school at 6:45...ugh!
It's a pretty sight, my PJs, slippers and coffee. :)
I thought I'd share our Easter or Spring table setting using potted wheat grass as decoration.
I potted the wheat grass in tea cups that belonged to Mr. Simple's grandma to set at each
place setting. (I wonder if she'd ever have guessed they'd be used for planting grass?)
The blue and white ikat pattern salad plates were a steal at the day after Christmas sale.
I only found four so I just mixed in some others I had.
I like the eclectic mix of formal tea cups, modern print plates, and geometric fabric.
Remember the 'deal' I alerted you to, here are the sample swatches I picked up at
Joann's to use as napkins.
A basket of eggs dyed in blue and green hues...
A stone bunny brought in from our garden...
White tulips picked up at the grocery store...
We had 11 guests for Easter, and I never have enough matching glasses.
I found these at Ikea, they're actually beer glasses, but I thought they were a fun shape.
As much as I love my white bunny fur pillows it's probably time to retire them
for the season and find something more spring-like.
Tomorrow I'll be sharing my next project that will add a fun dose of spring
to our place.

Oh my dear friend you're back you're back!! Wahoo!
Your table looks gorgeous as usual….I love the use of the samples as napkins and the color combination and mix of patterns is so pretty. The tea cups and the ikat together are so fun, old and new, and the wheat grass in the tea cups is just adorable!! That would be a fun little shower favor. So glad you had a little spring break, hope you feel refreshed!
I love this spring tables cape with the brilliant greens. You always do THE best job with wheat grass and love the teacups! Also all the different napkins look smashing. Hope you had a lovely Easter. Is it warmer there yet?

Lovely! I actually got some wheat grass planted 2 weeks before Easter and it was so lovely! Pics of my Easter table are on the blog today!
I was able to snag some of the fabric deals after you told us about them - did I tell you that?!! And the day I was there, when I got to the check out I was informed they were $1 that day :) :) I didn't get cool coordinating ones like you did but I got some I think I'll use somehow!

I'm sure Mr. Simple's grandma would be thrilled to see her tea cups displayed in such a pretty way. Those tulips call my name every time I walk past them in the grocery store. So springy!

The napkins turned out perfectly! I love your setting. Every year my sister grows a large container of wheat grass. I've always thought it was lovely. But I like the little teacup containers even more!
