craigslist, i love you...

I left you with a big tease on Friday, I'm sure you would have never guessed my
new purchase is a secretary! I found it on Craigslist on Thursday, emailed the seller
immediately saying I'd like to buy it sight unseen and she delivered it on Sunday.
Believe it or not, we don't have a good vehicle for hauling furniture, so I always
negotiate delivery, like this...in the past I've purchased some items and the sellers have
been willing to deliver if I pay full asking price, would you be interested in doing that?

I know exactly what I'm going to do with it. I should clarify, I know exactly what color
I'm painting it, and I have no clue what I'm going to do with it...crazy, I know!
But look at it, I couldn't resist those quatrefoils, won't they make a gorgeous statement?

I've had this black secretary pinned to my Pinterest 'Furniture Projects' board for awhile.
I was completely smitten the first time I saw it, it's my inspiration for the makeover.

I've got almost all of it primed, and am excited a spring snowstorm is in the
forecast, I'm hoping to be stranded at home with my Rustoleum & Purdy! :)

I love the inspiration shot, it was my favorite from the post last week. You will perform your magic on the new secretary as you always do. You are the BEST shopper! Have fun paining, we are finally receiving warm temps so enjoying working in the yard but if you are getting snow, that may be coming my way soon!

Look at you! It's like secretaries week over here at your blog, Pam! : ) What a great find! I would pay full price {if I thought it was fair} to have something big like this delivered. I love these pieces and wish I had room for one here at our condo.

It sounds like a big painting job...but I know you will rise to the occasion. I can't wait to see the end result!
