another favorite client...

Last January (2012) I told you about my client the weekend warrior,
well life got in the way...mainly a job, school out for summer, winter and spring vacations
and progress slowed, but we are back on track and everything is coming along nicely.

Her eleven year old daughter is my next client ~ she is an absolute delight!
Beautiful, smart, talented, incredibly polite, and has a keen eye for design.
She has a passion for art and loves Bob Ross landscapes, but her pieces are just as interesting
and I'm hoping I can talk her into creating something special that we can include! :)

Here are a few items she chose as a starting point for her room...

We'd already started taking her room apart and moving furniture when I remembered
to take photos, it was much cuter.

We purchased the white mirror over the dresser and from day one she requested
'crystal lamps,' we were trying things out.

I can't wait to incorporate some of her requested cheery style into her new
tween room.

Have a wonderful weekend, sweet friends!

We're headed downtown tonight with our fun neighborhood pals.
It's opening day for the new West Rail Line, the light rail is only a few blocks
from our homes and we've been waiting years for the completion so we could
walk down, hop on and enjoy dinner and drinks without driving. :)

Any fun plans for your weekend?

Your client sounds very mature. How cute to be able to work with an 11 year old that has her own personality and knows what she wants and likes. Bet you it makes it easier for you. Have a wonderful weekend. My plans are simple, watching the Miami Heat Basketball games and spending quality time with my Dad.

Love the pretty dresser and mirror and the colors she has chosen. What a fun project.

Taking the train to dinner sounds like a fun night! Mulch and drainage rocks being delivered today over here so we will be busy outside. Finally finished the bookshelves, need Pam to style them though!

Have a great weekend, Pam!

Thank you so much Pam for designing w/ my CG. We are very excited about the changes. I'm secretly hoping that Barbie gets evicted from the new room-- doesn't "Basement Barbie" sound great!

How cute is this?! I think it's great to give .. or teach our kids how to appreciate elements of design and I can't think of a better mentor than you Pam!

Love the colors and the crystal! She has great taste...can you imagine her talent later in life? I do hope that we can see some of her art work. Between the two of you, this room will be stunning!

Your newest client sounds lovely! I love the inspiration pieces….we used that same contact paper in Hannah's room to cover her desk. Your client has such pretty furniture in her room to start - the end result is going to be beautiful and fun!

Have fun this evening hopping the train :)

When I was 11 we moved into a brand new house and my Mother let me decorate (or help the decorator...) my room. Maybe that was the beginning of my home design obsession? How wonderful for you and your newest client!

You are living my dream. Sadly I have two daughters and neither one of them care a thing about design. Have a good time this weekend!!!

I did a tween room about a year ago and she was one of my all time favorite clients. I was floored with how in-tune she was with her design sense. I can't wait to see how your tween room turns out! Happy Weekend!!
