how well do you know me?

A simple game, what color do you think I'm painting my
new Craigslist dining room chairs?

"Midcentury modernism resonates for me," says Adler, who paired Warren Platner's 1966 dining table from Design Within Reach with his own Chinese Chippendale chairs. The chandelier is from the 1970s. Curtains are Hinson's Montauk Texture in Aegean, the same fabric used for the living room curtains and ottoman.

I'm ready to start painting - 12 chairs (6 new, 6 old) is a little crowded in my dining room!

But, I'm still sanding...

Just considering what you've already done and the pieces you already have, I can't decide between cream, distressed white, or black. But, I'd really like to think it might be a fun color!

Hi friend! Im guessing charcoal gray. Good luck, I know all the work you're putting into it! Did you reupholster those fabric chairs you cut the roll top off of? Can't wait to see the D R evolve..

i am going with black or gray.... i think black, but gray would suit your home well, too. :)

My vote is that you will paint them black! Your photos were awesome and inspiring! Your new chairs have fabulous detail. They will look amazing after they are painted!

I vote black for thosse adorable chairs. Then my mind changes to white. Okay....white or black. I can't decide.

Ooooh tough one. Flamingo pink isn't an option?? Okay then I'm going with chartreuse green…or maybe black….or gray from your fabric??? Can't wait to see. I already love your dining room and your new chairs are going to look fabbbbulous!

Oh my! What a hard question! We all seem to be about in the same camp with black, grey or distressed off white. I am thinking the black might work well to give it a very formal dining room look but the distressed off white would go well with the table. The thing I am absolutely positive about is that you will make them look fabulous! With all that sanding please wear a mask and make sure you also protect the neighborhood air quality:)

If they are going in your dining room, then I'm going to cancel out the all the cremes and golds that you love because they're already in the room. So I will have to say black. ;oP Did I guess right?

what color is the dining room? I would guess the pale green not knowing the color of anything else. I would definitely say not a pop color

I'm guessing either pale grey or distressed white! Gwyneth thinks either pale grey or pale green, so I guess we'll combine our guesses and go with pale grey! Either way - we can't wait to see what you choose and how fabulous they are sure to look!

I'm going with distressed off white for the win!

I'm on a "spray paint everyting satin black" kick lately so I would guess black.
Although I did just paint an Ikea step stool gloss red and I love it!
The good thing about this is that if you don't like the colour you choose you can always paint them again next year....
