diy chalk holder...

First, thank you all so much for your kind comments about our kitchen.
It was truly a labor of love and it's definitely my favorite room!
I'll post more details for you within the next couple of days.

While I was wasting time at Home Depot today
(waiting for my paint samples for detail boy's room - yes, we have another decision!)
I remembered a simple DIY project I saw on Pinterest, and picked up the lone supply for...

my new chalk holder.

In the hardware section...it's a $2 cup pull...turned upside down,

and hot glued onto my chalkboard.

That's all!

Quick, easy, simple, inexpensive = my favorite diy projects!

Have you done any quick and easy projects lately?

And...cute and functional! I screwed a little cup hook into the corner of our chalkboard and then hung a small metal bucket for the chalk markers. Yours looks like it should have been there all along!

Quick and easy - that's my kind of project! Love how pretty it looks too - it IS all in the details!

Perfect! Those projects make me so darn happy. My easiest has been recovering the gossip bench or just replacing a knob on our nightstand (that still needs to be painted) - arghhhh. I'm emailing my contact today to see if she can get me chalk paint - I'm desperate.

Clever, cute idea...love it! Love that Pinterest....
Just putting finishing touches on an oval oak drop leaf occasional table that I have had for years...the all oak finish was getting very dated looking so i painted the bottom portion of the table..left the top stained...looks so much better!

You had me at simple! Then I saw chalkboards were involved and that sealed the deal! This is perfect - pinning so I can make my chalkboards as cool as yours!

You are just too clever!

Brilliant...one of the reasons I painted over my chalkboard door was no where to put the chalk!!!

Did you make your chalkboard? I love chalkboards and sort of want one for my kitchen, but I'd like a cool one. This one looks awesome! I'd like the same idea in antique bronze.

I need to do this...painted a wall with chalkboard paint, but my chalk is just rolling around the counter.
