finally, a new project in the works...

A productive day, it was!
Decided on the dining room paint color...
Ha! They all look exactly the same, except for swatch #4 Linen White,
which was the one I thought I had decided on..nope, too white!
Are you sitting down...Navajo White, seriously, could I be more boring?
(There's more to the story at the end of the post.)

Navajo White - top right paint sample

Completed the time consuming part!

And, almost all of the rest, we'll see how it looks in the morning,
it will probably need another coat in some areas.

I know this photo is beyond gorgeous..prettier pictures to come,
but I love the paint!

The reason behind Navajo White - I decided to paint everything,
living room, dining room, kitchen, family room (not all today).
It's a very open floor plan and I like the flow of everything being the same color.
But, that meant choosing a color that would not only
look nice with the bright white trim work but also the creamy cabinets in the kitchen.

I've got work to do...see you tomorrow!

Wow, you're biting off a lot but have made some great progress! I love the color choice. Hey, not boring if it works! I'm trying to decide if I can do my cabinets a creamy white with all of the crown and trim still being a bright white-it looks great in your pics!

The prep work is 1/2 the battle so it looks like you made amazing progress. I bet it will look amazing with the sun poking through tomorrow!

I love Navajo White - i've actually looked at it a few times and really like it a lot. You've got your work cut out but it's going to look awesome when it's done. Now I'm itching to paint!

I always do paint tests first. Sometimes you find a different color works better than you thought. I am sure you will love your choice. I am in the painting mood myself. We have Benjamin Moore HC-6 windham cream in all our hallways and entry. I am tired of the yellow tone and want a more Scandinavian/French look. I am still trying to decide on a color. I don't want it to be to greyish.
Have fun, I know painting is alot of work but it is so worth it.

I like that Navajo White will contrast your white trim just a bit - and like you said, work in all those rooms! Can't wait to see it all done - it will be so light and cheerful!

Love it! Our home was painted entirely in stark builder's white when we moved in, and for the longest time I was desperate to paint it in darker colors. I have finally come around to loving the light, bright background, but I still want to warm it up a bit. Navajo White looks lovely!
Maybe you already mentioned it, but what paint maker is it? (I googled Navajo White, and it came up in both Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paint-- but they're two very different colors.)

I love this look and its versatility! Can you tell me which brand and finish you choose for Navajo White?
