Last week I left you all hanging with a few inspiration photos for my
yet-to-be-decided dining room paint color.
Thanks for all of your suggestions...I'd hire any of you!
This was my favorite, but...
...given my buffet and table color I thought it could have a tendency to look drab.
The white tablecloth gives this the needed contrast.
So you don't have to go back and check this is the buffet and table I'm working with.
These photos showing wood buffets against light colored walls
are what finally sealed the deal!

As much as I love color, I'm a neutral girl,
with the philosophy
of adding pops of color in easy to change accessories.
I'm thinking...
Benjamin Moore Linen White or a similar creamy color,

against all of my white trim.
against all of my white trim.
I planned to show you a couple samples, but I had a little
incident withplowed into a sign. All is well except it's tough to get into my car,
and it put a dent (ha!) in my painting plans!
mr. simple's going to love that one!

Beautiful photos. I hope you are alright.
Sorry to hear about your accident.
We have used a lot of colour in the past, but I find I am preferring neutral walls now and adding accents like you said.
My first thought when I read the title of your post was Oh No!! And oh no is right - hope you are okay. I do love your plan for some soft neutrals and the images you have pulled are so pretty and I know you're going to make it look easy too.
I left you a little shout out on my blog today in regards to a post you did from last week! Let me know what you think!
I love the soft look of all the rooms you showed. I am sure you will make the right decision if you go with your gut. Sorry to hear about the accident! At least you weren't hurt...cars can always be fixed!
Take care! - Shelley
Funny play on words there! Your color choices will definitely make your dining room serene and calm. Can't wait to see it.
It's going to be beautiful! All of the inspiration pics are fabulous and gave me some ideas, too. Sorry about your car...those rotten signs can just pop out of nowhere! Just like trashcans can, too. :-)
Blog-hopping and happened upon your blog! Enjoyed my visit here! You have a great blog and beautiful home! :)

That first one is my favorite too, but you can never go wrong with white...great light in your room and with your gorgeous table and buffet...sorry to hear about your incident with the sign...snow and ice related...Denver weather.
I like the first image too, but love the look of creamy whites and wood furniture. My mother recently painted her dining room this way and it looks bigger and so airy now. Staying tuned to see where you go from here.
In my first home, we painted the LR and DR Linen White and punched things up with colorful fabrics and accessories so I have a soft spot for that color and look. With your touches, the room is sure to be amazing, keep us posted! Sorry about your "little incident," that's nerve wracking...

I'm so sorry to hear about you're accident! I hope you're ok!! I do love the idea of light walls. I was thinking the same thing for some of my rooms this year too!
OH NO! So glad to hear you're okay and killing it with the puns on the blog :) I love your inspiration, and I am so a neutral girl at heart and believe in pops of color because you can always switch those up!
xoxo
I think you made the right choice! I had a real dark guest room and I got tired of it so quickly. Navaho is a lovely color and very classic.
I found you on Cottage and Vine and now am a follower of your pretty blog. I love linen white, it's my go-to white.
