I thought I'd share some details of a client project I'm working on.
A new basement remodel for an awesome family with four children.
I have a beautiful new space to work with, 10' ceilings, a family/game room,
kitchen/bar area, workout room, bathroom & bedrooms.
The space needed to be sophisticated enough for family gatherings, yet fun and kid friendly.
Here's a peek at the family room plans, so far.
We decided to keep their brown sectional (brown tweed on the left) and
give it an updated look with a fresh bold color palette and infuse some lighter colors.
We purchased new bar stools with the intent of reupholstering
in the bold medallion print, a child friendly pattern.
They have window seats flanking the fireplace, we're using the huge bold floral there
with throw pillows in a combination of these fabrics...
We'll also be using the bold floral for large pillows on the sectional along
with all the coordinating fabrics for additional pillows.
We chose this large drum pendant for above the coffee table...
A peek at some of our choices for the teenage daughter's bedroom.
We have tufted headboard in parchment
Green & parchment bedding
The green leopard print is for a diy bulletin board.
(details on it next week)
We have a stenciling project in the plans, and
a gallery wall of her favorite quotes.
Lighting choices for her room...
Flower Pendant Light
These swing arms for each side of the bed.
A slipcovered chair.
That's it for today...I'll be finishing the dining room this weekend,
cheering for our Denver Broncos, you may have heard about our QB, Tim Tebow, :)
and maybe fit in a day of skiing with my boys!
Have the BEST weekend, friends!

All of your choices are fantastic! The darker colors will definitely be kid-friendly and worry-free, but I love that you lightened it up a bit. And, the girl's room will look so grown up and sophisticated, yet fun! That chippendale fabric is always one of my favorites. Looking forward to seeing it all come together!
You guys have made some great selections. Will you be lending your handy sewing skills to this client?
What pretty and fun mixes! You have such a great eye.
Beautiful Pam! I think it's important that you can do brown but it can also be fun too, which you've shown in all of the fabrics that you'll be using for the built-in bench and pillows. What a great plan! You know these are some of my favorite posts :) I also love what's going on for the young girl's room and can't wait to see that bulletin board. Have you picked out paint yet for the family room?
Such fun selections, Pam. I'm sure your client will be as thrilled with your work as we are with the transformation you've done on our home. You are amazingly talented and an absolute joy to work with- Thank you for everything!
Beautiful choices! Hope to see it when it's complete!
