How fun is this idea, an unexpected collage of patterns.
Definitely on my to-do list, makes me want to find a chair to reupholster!

All in the details! I like trim on curtains and pillows...and painted ceilings.
Pretty post!
oooo... I love a touch of the unexpected and I actually posted a little about it today as well. Love the lucite chairs with the country french table and brick floor!
Wonderful outside the box thinking! Love them all.
Especially inspired to possibly recover that threadbare chair upstairs-can never decide on a fabric and obviously I don't have to. Use many!
I once visited a house that had framed paintings hanging all over the walls AND ceiling of the entry. Very unexpected!
I love this post, Pam! It's the details that I get lost with….the final punch that makes a room. I have to go back and examine each of these photos. Love the pop of pink from the settee at the table!
LOVE everything about this post!!
Great post Pam, and love the attention to the unexpected..brilliant. The images are spot on and I love the pom poms and the asymmetrical bathroom decor.

I love the dinning room with the brick floor...Great post Pam....
Great post Pam! Love the unexpected seating arrangement.
When I make a mistake it is a "happy accident".
My unexpected "to do" would be a beautiful chair that is waiting for me to pick fabric. Maybe mixing fabrics like the first photo will help me decide.
What a great lesson and collection of photos. I need to add this to my list. Currently the only unexpected element I have is the Elf on the Shelf that my daughter is begging we leave out for "just one more day!"
Ha, our lives are unexpected. I never know how MC will figure out how to execute my Epiphanies!! These examples are fun, lots of fun. Life need lots of fun!!!
Designers have this amazing ability to think up these things! Great examples here Pam and I really like the Joy Tribout room. Those pillows and all the neutrals.. gorgeous!
Hope your week is going well!
The unexpected is my favorite part of design. I like to make people wonder, and yes, that pun was intended. ;)
I also want to incorporate pom pom fringe somewhere! I love that look! Unexpected details really make your personality shine through. Like Dana's comment, it's also one of my favorite parts of a room!
The unexpected keeps everything so interesting!!...Beautiful rooms!! love this post!!
