bold painted furntiure...

I bet you were expecting my 'Emerald Reveal' today.
Do you all have me figured out? I usually post my reveals on Mondays
because I've had the weekend to finish up and take photos.
Well, this week it's scheduled for Tuesday and I have a fun surprise to go
with it, I guarantee you'll be more than happy to have waited the extra day!

In the meantime...I can tell you I LOVE my green dumpster dive, and it has
inspired me to take a look at painted furniture that makes a statement!

Imagine these pieces 'pre-paint' in a thrift store, garage sale, craigslist,
or even tossed to the curb...

Each piece is so fresh, modern and vibrant! I am mulling over painting a new side table in our bedroom lilac!

I've always like the look of painted furniture and love how it can add such a fun pop of color to a space. Love that red shelf! How fun! xo

Painted furniture is still okay in my book - especially if it improves the space that it's going to be situated in. The other day I saw a piece that was going to be painted and I wanted to say Noooooooo because it was beautiful, but that happens.

I certainly enjoy it in other people's homes, but I'm not sure it has a place in mine. Never say never :)

LOVE the look and posted about a local artist who does the same here in Madison today! Need to figure out how to add a little oomph to my home without re-doing the whole thing!!!

I used to be on the fence, but I find myself more and more attracted to statement making pieces with pops of color. Can't wait to see your emerald reveal.

No fence here, I love it.

Why do I have the sudden urge to go jump in a dumpster?! I'm a fan but lacking in the patience department for doing it myself. Furniture painting scares me. I'll just sit back and appreciate your work of art.

Cannot wait to see the emerald beauty!!!

I'm a recent convert, but probably would only do one piece. I'm excited to see yours (and the surprise!)

I love it but I haven't done any in my home yet...oh wait, I did paint a desk chair for my son's room. I guess that counts! Can't wait for your reveal!

I love a good find turned decorator objet d'art! I love what you do with everything you touch! I also believe in the integrity of genuine wood so ideally for me a mix of the two is best. Looking forward to tomorrow's reveal!

I'm a believer! There are still a few pieces that I like the look of natural wood, but there's just something about a good painted piece. Can't wait to see yours tomorrow!
