update on projects

You guys are the BEST ~ thanks so much for your input on the hardware,
your comments always give me a different perspective I hadn't thought about!
Here were the top three ...
#3 - 13 votes

#6 - 12 votes

#2 - 9 votes

I've chosen one of the above, but with a bit of an alteration,
I was at Ikea today picking up more hardware (hint, hint)!
Our weather isn't cooperating with my project schedule this week,
I'd planned to spray paint the hardware gold, not happening in 30 degrees,
Thursday looks promising, though.

Last week I mentioned I had a bookcase project planned, well it's finished,
but our family room is north facing and without a single ray of sunshine all day
I wasn't able to take photos, but here's a peek...

It's one of those super easy and super inexpensive projects I love!
Anyone recognize where the paper is from?

Love the patterned back! Hmmm, knowing you, my guess would be Ikea, or after Courtney's post today maybe Marshall's or TJ?

I can't wait to see the end result Pam!

have that same pattern on my hutch and it was a stencil from Martha Stewart from Michael's.. I stenciled it on poster board and popped it right in..

Can't wait to see more of your family room! And what you end up doing with that hardware.
and at least you have the hope of warmer weather this week. we might get some warmer weather, oh - maybe about May!

I missed a spray painting opportunity, too. It snowed last night. Ikea must be close to your home. I need to go for an upcoming project I want to do. I will definitely be looking at the hardware section more clearly after reading your finds.

Oooh that's a fun bookcase backing! That is on my never-ending list, I WILL get to it this year. Have fun at Ikea, you are keeping them in business these days! Wish mine was a bit closer so I could make weekly visits.

I love the paper. Could it possibly be the same paper that I picked up in Target's dollar section last week? I had visions of using it for a DIY.

I will surely check out the hardware section the next time we are at IKEA! I'm sure I'll find it...go get lost there! Glad MC and I have our cell phones...it's the only way we can find each other.
Can't wait to see which "design" won and how you altered it.
I am afraid I have no idea where the paper is from? But it looks great!

My favorite is #6, even though I am late for the voting. I wish my Ikea was not 2 hours away, jealous about that. The buffet is going to be so glamorous, will be fun to see what you do with the rest of the room!

Oh that Target dollar section paper was calling to me yesterday and I ignored it. Looks fabulous though! Also, love love love #6! I'm a gold freak that's probably why. :) Thanks for the sneak peeks at projects.

Love the pattern on the back of the bookcase....I lined the back of my media room bookcase, but went the "safe route" and used grasscloth!...
Can't wait to see your hardware design!
