Oh my gosh, you guys, when I opened the paint can it was SO BRIGHT!!
I was scared to start!!
I kept contemplating the color and could have easily talked myself into going
with white!
Benjamin Moore - Lawn Green 2045-20
My can looks a little more blue, but it's the exact color of my paint chip and skinny jeans. :)
Benjamin Moore sample online...
I scuffed up the surface, cleaned, primed, filled the imperfections and damaged areas
with wood filler, sanded, cleaned, sanded, cleaned and painted one coat.
I'll give specific details about products and procedures soon.
Just wanted to give you a peek...
I'm famous for saying to my boys, 'Just wait till it's done.'
But dang, this one is even making me nervous!
It looks fluorescent and I swear it's glowing in the dark!
Happy weekend friends,
keep your fingers crossed and send good vibes my way!

i'm glad you went for it! woot!
You paint inside? You are so much braver than I. If it comes out the color of the jeans, it will be great.
A great bright color to start the new year. Green is meant to be "the color" this year.
It's just a shock to your system since you're used to neutrals. Fingers crossed that your hard work pays off!
A couple more coats and your great styling and she'll be good to go. But I bet that is a BIG change from my favorite love for neutrals friend :)
Go for the green! Can't wait to see it all finished. Have a great weekend!
Once it is finished and in your house for a little, you won't even notice the brightness of it anymore. I went out of my comfort zone (black or white) and painted a desk blue and I barely even notice it anymore. I love your color choice!
i think once you complete it...it will look fantastic...have a great weekend!!
Oh. my. word! I LOVE it!!! Such a rich and fun color, you go girl, no need to be nervous!
Pam, you make me laugh! I say the same thing to my family.... it will darken with the second coat, but if its still to bright put a dark stain on top of it....
OOOh it's delicious!!!!!! I am thinking after a couple more coats you'll get that rich color you want. So excited that you did this - what a happy color!!
I think you are gonna love it when it's done. And you can always add some dark wax if it needs knocked down a little!
I think it's a great pop of color Pam. You could always add a little dark wax to tone it down. It's going to look beautiful!
I think it will be beautiful after a few coats and I'm excited to see what you do with the hardware!
I'm sure it's going to look great after a few coats. Have a great weekend!
Hang in there! Loooove.....! So proud of you for branching out! ;)
It's going to be fabulous! Paint colors can be so deceiving. We had a debacle in the nursery with the ceiling- ahh!! I was about to go crazy. Can't wait to see it done!
Looks wonderful and bright.
Only time will tell whether it is "too much".
I painted our bedroom what I thought would be a 'Tiffany box blue'. As the paint went on it was obviously more of a "horrid baby boy room blue". I kept telling myself it was okay and not so bad.
Then my husband walked in the door, took one look and said "Un-f**king believable" and walked out.
It was not okay.
The painters repainted the very next day- to a safe pale gray.
So- if it works, GREAT! If not, not the end of the world.
Can't wait to see the results- whatever they are.
I have a feeling this is going to turn out to be one of your favorite pieces. Doesn't that always seem to happen? The piece you have the most doubts about ends up being the most fabulous.
Sending good vibes your way!
Oh yes, even for tried and true DIY'ers and designers and painters.... there is that moment of "Oh no....!" Well, the rest of us can't wait to see the results, so you must continue!
Oh it's going to look fabulous and it it's still glowing after another coat just wipe a stain glaze over it & you'll be set. Can't wait for the reveal.
I think it will be great! I've just gotten to comment. Had a "date" in Atlanta this morning with my favorite Designer, Kenneth Brown!!!
Really, I love the look! Give it a day or two!
Deep vivid colors like that usually take multiple coats to achieve their true color. You may want to think about doing more than two coats. But it will be worth it when you are done. That color is gorgeous!
The color looks pretty in the photo, Pam, does not read florescent. I think it is fresh and exciting. With neutral accessories and neutral walls to tone it down, it may be fantastic! If not, prime and paint again. You are so patient with the prep work, that is my downfall, I admire your ability to follow through with each step of the process.
Don't be nervous - I love it! You should see my daughter's paint color! It's radioactive - but she loves it and with all the white furniture in the room, I actually like it too!

It will be gorgeous! I love the color! Bold and amazing! Can't wait to see the finished project!
with your talent, I bet this one will be a real beaut! love the color too! Thanks for visiting my blog! ;-)
I applaud you for your bold color choice! It's bright but it certainly is beautiful. Emerald green (panetone) IS the hot color right now. I am confident that it will turn out wonderful, I can already tell.
I already love it! Cannot wait to see the final results.
Take care,
Erin
That's a great color, I think it's going to look gorgeouus. Good luck, I'm looking forward to the reveal.
Glowing? haha! Hmm, sounds liek one of those - "Oh, yeah, we meant it to do that". Im looking fwd to seeing how it turned out, think it is going to turn out good! The beauty of color + individual personalities is that one person may LOVE and another may shriek, hopefully u will luv. Cant wait fr the reveal!!!!
