i've been keeping a secret

The painting is finished!
I'm loving the fresh, creamy 'navajo white' in the
entry, living room, dining room, hall, family room and kitchen!

The secret...
with my clever photography skills I've avoided showing you my black door!

This my friends is the result of an impatient diy blogger that wanted a black door
immediately, and didn't take time to prime!
My advice:  JUST DO IT!

It wasn't that bad until mr. simple decided to scrape it for me,
and then concluded it was 'a big project' and stopped!

I did our back door at the same time and it is in perfect condition??

It's a dirty, ugly, boring job, but some one's gotta do it!
Guess who?

HAPPY WEEKEND!!
HOPE IT FINDS YOU DOING SOMETHING FUN & FRIVOLOUS!

I'll bet you cause a shortage of Navajo white paint. You picked the perfect color for your sunny rooms. I hope your weekend includes some fun!

I'm an impulsive DIY-er too! I like the look of the black door.

I've been meaning to ask you about the painting - I love that color. And have your pup and cat always been on your sidebar? I don't remember seeing them there before and they are so cute.

I used Navajo in my dining room, yours looks great! Debating on cameo white for the rest of the rooms, I think it's on the same paint chip? Have a happy weekend!! :)

Looks perfect Pam....and the door? That's what happens to me! I call it DIY-ADD and then in my house we live with it that way for months! I think there are still pins in some pillows I made a while back!

The black door is fabulous! You have some very interesting upholstered pieces, too! Great painting overall. Enjoy your weekend!

I love your white walls:) I'm a huge fan of white! And the door - I would so have done that too! I always think I don't have time for primer and it won't matter anyway right? And then sometimes it DOES matter. Sigh

I can totally relate! For some projects I only care about the end result and not so much about the process. Oh well :) Have a great weekend.

Ugh, not a fun job! I've had 4 out of 10 of my interior doors painted black for almost a year...I've got to finish the rest! The navajo white is awesome! It looks so fresh and clean and like a brand new house. Love the branches in the bucket too!

So funny! I can't tell you how many times I've rushed a DIY paint job and messed things up. Navajo White looks works perfectly - and I like the black door! Today I bought CHALK Paint in Graphite to paint the outdated oak wood under my 'new' marble island. The counters surrounding will be white and I will probably have (professional) help with them. My husband does not know I am about to do this.. He will be out of town for a couple days next week and I think I will tackle it then. I'm in trouble if it doesn't look good - but I've heard this is amazing paint so I'm going to go for it :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh you sneaky thing, hiding your door from us with your photography skills! There are about 1,000 things around here that need to get cropped out of photos - I'm looking at a half painted writers desk with green tape on it since February, for example! I love the black interior door though!! Especially with your neutral walls - I just ADORE the pop of black!! The navajo white looks great and you must be SO fired up that it's DONE!!! Yahooooooooo!!!! I am doing a little happy dance for you!
Happy weekend Pam!
