create custom artwork for less

Here's my custom artwork double matted for $3.99!

If you missed it, this post will fill you in on the flamingos.

Did you know Hobby Lobby will cut custom sized mats for your artwork?

They do ALL of the work for you!
Bring in your frame and art.

What mat colors are available?
A rainbow of assorted colors, several whites, creams, tans, blacks.

I chose a double mat, white and gold.
They make sure everything is lined up evenly!
(just that is worth the price)

Clean both sides of your glass!

My mats were 11 x 14 with an 8 x 10 opening.

Here is the charge, $6!
Price is based according to size.

Don't forget your coupon!

Total - $3.89

My print came from the NYPL Digital Gallery, the scoop is here.
I had it printed at Kinkos for .10
I had the frame.

Total $3.99

You're welcome! :)

So pretty, it looks like it came from a pricey boutique. You are the master of frugal beauty! I also love the new apothecary jar. Did you paint it gold?

Very clever!
I've never thought to have them create the mat ... tucking that one away for future use :)

It's really good looking in the frame with that mat. We have no Hobby Lobby's in our area. I think there is one about an hour away but I always hear good things about them. I like how you were able to photograph the play-by-play at HL :) Good blogger.

Would you believe Michaels wanted $30 a pop to do the exact same thing?! Clearly, I need to go to Hobby Lobby! Can't wait to see your prints in their new home.

We don't have a Hobby Lobby near me, either, but Michaels..and they can be a bit pricier. Love your framed print, it is gorgeous.

That is pretty cool! I didn't know it was that cheap at hobby lobby:) i have a frame shop in a town near me that does excellent framing for very low prices when I need it all done. they make the frame to fit my pics - which are a lot of times odd sizes.
Great job - I like how that turned out.

Score! What a great deal!

I love the Flamingos. They have a bad rap because of the plastic ones in people's front yards, but really they are a beautiful, unique animal and your printers are gorgeous!

That is an awesome deal. Seriously....I used to frame and $6 for a double mat and fitting is a steal!!

This is amazing looking and at a fabulous price, Pam. I wish I had a Hobby Lobby around here - I do not believe they are located in the NE. But anyway, I love the two-toned gold frame.
