fresh, simple vignettes...

Simply...branches from our yard in a vase.

Remember the knock off Riad pillows from Costco?
I chose green, and they'll be outside on our deck soon.
I couldn't help but add a dose of freshness to our mantel as well.

My uber sweet blogging friend, Lisa @ Shine Your Light, just happened to do a great
post yesterday on how adding something green to your space brings it to life!
 I agree!
She also shared a helpful list of Hard to Kill Houseplants, if you're in need. :)

Oh how I love a little splash of green in every room. Your simple branches look perfect. Makes me want to go grab my scissors and go hack one of our trees! Watch out trees.

So easy, and often never done. I am still dying over that green credenza.

I love the look of branches in vases. Since nothing is blooming here yet, I may copy you and get some green in my life!

The BLH has been filled similar splashes of greenery in the past weeks ....great inexpensive way to "finish" a room or space.

Love the cuttings from your yard - they are so cheerful aren't they? I have been cutting every single flowering thing in my yard lately and bringing them in. I love this time of year! And thanks for the mention, my friend! I actually posted today on keeping house plants alive.

Thanks for the blog tips Pam, I have tons of excess greens outside and I better start pruning before my home turns into a jungle! This is perfect! Thanks!

Ahhh, Spring! Looks lovely. A lot of our leaves got shredded from the hail storm a few weeks ago, so I'm waiting for some fresh ones to grow! :/

Love the green pillow! I would never think of using branches so thanks for sharing. I love green plants inside, however, most of them come to my house to die. :( I'll go check her post!

Green brings the outdoors in, and looks so natural. Great mantle, Pam1
My patio is slowly coming along. Can't do too much, since Gibbs has uprooted my hostas and my ferns...I think I have to sacrifice the back yard to him this summer.
