fresh kitchen styling...

I'm always on the lookout for fresh ideas for styling my kitchen counters or
shelf (I have one lone shelf, I may need to remedy that) especially when
it takes my everyday utensils up a notch from functional to stylish!
I loved the inspiration in these kitchens...try using crocks, baskets, trays, boards,
pitchers, jars...all items you probably have, in a new way to display your kitchen essentials.

Such beautiful images and unfortunately such a far cry from what my kitchen currently looks like :-( Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh yes! But styling the kitchen is really hard for me because it is the most used space in the home! Mess ensues a lot, glad I have my display cabinets for some eye candy in mine. Need a bit more tweaking though in styling counters. Love all these examples, simple beauty = simple joys!

Since I took down my Christmas stuff I have been playing with the open shelving in my kitchen - perfect timing with this post! Thank you - I needed some new ideas.

I love the image with the black and white print. Art work in a kitchen adds such style! Great image,
Pam!

The black and white dinnerware is my favorite in these images. I always like to see a small painting but for show purposes only ;) I'm always afraid I'm going to splatter something on it.

Lovely ideas. It is interesting how big an impact the little pots of herbs have on the pictures (note to self, add more herbs).

I simply sighed at the first picture and then again at the chalkboard wall. We are currently (okay i am, ha ha!) working on the house. My sweet hubby did NOT get the job in Denver (read great tears of sadness were shed in private so as not to make him feel bad) so we will stay here for a bit longer. And with that I had, just had to make some changes. It has taken me 4 years to determine what needed to be done and now I am implementing them. I would love to say it is one room at a time but such is not the case. However the details will definitely be tweaked as we continue along.

Have a wonderful week! And thank you for sharing all of these wonderful ideas!
