How I wish I could think of a space in my house that would work for the
$199 - 41" round
It's a sturdy, inexpensive knock off of the mid-century modern tulip table
by Euro Sarrinen, that gained popularity in the 1960's.
It's perfect for a smaller kitchen nook, and often shown with banquettes.
It effortlessly mixes with a multitude of chair styles.
This diy with the base painted gold is stunning!

Your photos really show its versatility. I wish I had room too!

Hi Pam! Great examples of the Docksta. We just gave mine to our daughter in NYC who is using it as her dining table. I used it in my studio/office for projects and gift wrapping. We found modern chairs on Craigslist to accompany it for her.
It is one of Ikea's best ever designs. The base gets marked rather easily but Mr Clean Magic Eraser wipes them off easily.
all gorgeous examples! i love it, too! wish i had a nook for it! that first example especially.... SWOON.
OH my ! That gold base! I've loved this table for a long time but it's a little too small for what I need.
Love all the photos.
Love it too Pam, and wish it fit in my home. Love that first image, and also a wooden top on it. Have a great weekend! xo Nancy
Oh yes, that piece is a classic and so flexible! I too wish I had a spot in my home for one….
Great news Pam, I have that table! and love the gold base.... Excellent photo collection as it has my mind racing.

Love the gold pedestal DIY table. Such a great piece and your pictures show so much versatility.
What makes this table even better is that it's super easy to assemble, much unlike many other Ikea pieces. ha!
I adore the first image with the gold base - awesome! Although the photo of the table paired with the green ostrich covered chairs is so fab. Great combination.
I love that table. I wanted it for our kitchen quite badly, but every time I go look at it, I decide it's not sturdy enough. I saw one in the as-is that was marked down to $40, but it was so scratched up that it worried me. The finish wouldn't be an easy one to fix when it's scratched. I do love the wood top on the one, that might solve the scratching issue.
Love the gilded based one.. really cool!
I love the chalkboard one! Genius!
I love that little table! I want one for our family area downstairs. So cute! xo Kristin
Just drove the 45 min to Ikea this morning :) No table though, just some gifts...and a blanket for me :) I do love that table though!
This is the table I want to pair with my parent's vintage Eames molded plywood chairs! Love it!
Love this table! My friend just found a real one at a junk shop and her dad refinished it for her. Lucky!
I love the gold version....so cool and the chalk paint one is original too. I love all these ikea hacks. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love that gold base! I need to figure out a way to incorporate some gold into my home for awhile I think!
Pam...I also adore this table....IKEAs version is a great price!
I must say the table with the gold base is fantastic….then again, they all are!...
I love my Docksta! It's not as nice as the classic Saarinen but I don't worry about it like I would if I had the real deal! Check out the thrift store chairs that I made over to put with it:

Beautiful rooms! I especially love the one with the gold base, but that's no surprise :)
I love too but wonder if it might be too wobbly. I recall seeing comments about that. Would love to know from those commenters who have or had a Docksta feel about that.
