card catalog crushing...

While I was perusing Pinterest researching at our local library for this post I realized
how badly I need a card catalog. I was so mistaken, thinking they were a touch to
'country' to fit in with my style. Check out the versatility of the card catalog.

This room had me crushing hard and inspired the research...

If you're crushing and you happen to be in the Denver area I spied this one
on Craigslist for $200 - Metal - 33 x 18
I haven't shopped around for them yet, so I'm not sure if this is a good price or not.
If you're in the know tell us about it in the comments.

Have a fabulous weekend, friends!
We have fun homecoming festivities to keep us busy this weekend,
which includes a Friday night football game and a perfect fall forecast!
I'm breaking out my boots and a sweater! :)

I didn't have a crush until I saw your photos! They add such interest and can you imagine all of that space for storing treasures/junk?

Have a wonderful Homecoming weekend, Pam.

One of those would be great in my craft room. It would hold so many little craft supplies and embellishments and at the same time look great. TFS. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the family. Ana

Seems like a pretty good price. I'm stunned when I see them at $500-$600. But I guess they are an ancient relic :D I remember when they taught and tested on how to use card catalogs in school!

I think this is a good price too. I have seen several at antique stores priced much higher. I love them too!

There was a great post on Apartment Therapy (I think) the other day about a home where the couple had a very modern aesthetic and use a refurbished card catalogue in their DR. It looked amazing! I would love to have one too....

I entirely forgot about these! What great interest they could add to a room. Love the one painted green!

I LOVE card catalogues! I have 1/2 of one in my living room. Here's a sneak peak of it in a seriously old post...http://piglogsandtaterberries.blogspot.com/2010/08/ta-daaa-living-room.html
I have to admit I was shocked at how much the room has changed since we first moved in. In fact so much so that I might actually have to do some update on the blog... a before and after maybe.

That's not too bad of a price for a large card catalog... but I think it ought to go for less due to the rust. But having lived in Denver I know the prices can be all over the place.

Have a wonderful weekend! We still have homecoming to look forward to. :-)

I love what people have been doing to reuse those. I am kicking myself for not getting the one I saw at the barn a few weeks back! Have a great weekend Pam :) xo Kristin
