client living room...

I haven't mentioned this project yet, but I've been helping my clients update their
living room and dining room before a graduation party a couple weeks ago.
We were on a tight schedule and have most everything finished.
I love that it incorporates the things that were most important to them, their requests:
comfy leather chairs, a lot of family photos, not a living room you walk by, but a casual room
where they and their kiddos could sit and put their feet up, and keep the same paint color.

BEFORE
While the room was in transition they let a cute little one take over,
I almost felt guilty relocating her house!

I loved their antique desk and wanted to incorporate it.

AFTER
(sorry for poor photos, perfect lighting and my schedule didn't coincide)

The gallery wall isn't quite finished, see the stacks of Ikea frames on the floor to the left. :)
The black and white family photos will be hung from floor to ceiling, as well as above
the desk covering the entire wall.

I was thrilled to come across this hand painted, rustic, Asian style console, it was the
perfect unique piece and would tie in the existing paint color. (It was a GOOD day!)
It's huge and balances the large leather chairs.
Promise, this wasn't staged - it makes me happy to see the room being used
exactly as they envisioned. :)

The jute rug added nice texture and the taupe color worked well with the console.
We chose an upholstered bench for their ottoman/coffee table.

Some symmetry going on here, the pair of leather chairs, geometric pillows,
and brass pharmacy floor lamps.

A piece of artwork they had was updated by painting the light wood frame black to
give it a little more presence.

We're waiting on a piece to finish up the dining room and then I'll share it.

I'm so thankful that I get to do what I love!
And, grateful to have such wonderful clients, I couldn't ask for a nicer family to work with!
