I'm not much of a collector, I don't like clutter, but I do like unique and functional.
Instead of a matched set of coffee mugs I have an eclectic mix of
white mugs...
I started picking them up a couple years ago.
HomeGoods and TJ Maxx are favorite spots for finding something different
and, of course, the price is always right.
I look for a mix of styles, shapes, textures and handles.
This huge 'GOOD MORNING' mug is from World Market.
They're always a conversation piece when I have friends over for coffee and it's
fun to see who chooses which cup.

I think this is a great idea. How many sets of mugs have a I bought and then ended up with odd ones left, and needed to go out and buy another set! Your way is so much better.
Love all your mugs, especially the Large 16 one. Homegoods does have some great finds. I love the eclectic group because no one is going to pick up the wrong mug! xo

You know how much I love coffee so I'd be right at home sipping on some coffee in one of these pretty mugs. I picked up a white mug at Starbucks a few years ago and it's one of my favorites - you should have a white coffee mug link up party! ;) We've also collected a Starbucks mug from different cities that we've been to (the city collection).
Yours are so pretty! I too collect mugs. I often buy them from places I visit to remember my trip. One of my favs is from Serendipity NYC.
I love the collection of mugs, Pam. I have a multicolored collection of mugs and this one was certainly not intentional - my husband would bring home a mug from each conference he went to :) My collections are blue-and-white pieces and also my clear jars. Such a fun thing to have particularly when one gets so much enjoyment from using them.
I love the Good Morning one! {I am needing to grab a few "XL" mugs because Stephen doesn't like our small handle mugs that coordinate with our dishes} I collect hobnail/fenton pieces, mostly in white. I think a collection in white, no matter what it is, is a fun thing to have. Goes with everything!
Great idea to collect white mugs. They all look great together, but are unique with each having a different saying on them.
I love how they are all white and mixed up. We've had colorful mugs for a long time and I'm tired of them. Meanwhile our everyday plates are white and we've had them since we got married and I don't think I'll ever tire of them! Yet another idea I need to steal from you!
I like your collection of mugs. I have a bunch of 'Rosanna' mugs with gold crowns on them that were gifts. Those are the ones we pull out when we have company and need more than 2! Most days I use my red with white dots Cath Kidston mug that my brother gave me for Christmas. Coffee just tastes better when it's in a fun pretty mug huh??!!

LOVE! These are almost as much fun as the "collection" of wine glasses we have talked about in the past. (Only because while I love both, wine is more fun than coffee!)

Great idea! I also love home goods for their mugs and dishes! It's also a great conversation piece when you have guests over. :) I have a collection of white bowls and want to start a collection of cake stands.

I've never thought much about mug handles. I can honestly say you'll come to mind next time I come across a unique one!

I don't have one, but now I wish I did. I'm like you in that I don't really have collections and I try to stay away from clutter. A white collection seems like the perfect solution. Aren't HomeGoods and TJMaxx the best?
