test your kids

I have something quick and different for you today because instead of writing
a blog post last night I was having fun crossing something off my
Summer Bucket List I showed you here.
I'll spill the details tomorrow!

I hate the thought of my son eating junk food all summer long,
so I thought I'd try this little trick.
Do you think 'presentation' matters to your kiddos?

Breakfast is served...your choice!

Or this...yum!
(detail boy doesn't like milk)

I had these breakfast choices at our dining room table.  After sitting down to the
bowl of cereal and grinning, he hopped up and finished off the healthy choice!

I know I'd make healthier choices if they were readily available.

This inspiring quote has been floating around Pinterest lately...

makes me think twice about what I eat and feed my family!

Amen. Now to get my 6 year old to just eat the good stuff available!! I would totally have chosen the healthy choice - you made it look great!

That quote is a great reminder. My kids like a lot of healthy food but will definitely go for the junk if it is available! I am trying my best to introduce them to as much as possible when they are young. I will have to try your presentation tip and see if it makes things more exciting for them.

What a beautiful presentation Pam. I'm good about the healthy foods but this made me realize how much my presentation could improve. Thanks for inspiring!

Wow - what a lovely breakfast - I wish that would be waiting for me tomorrow morning!! I do find that if fruit is all clean, cut up and on the counter the kids will eat it….but they won't got digging around in the fridge for it. I guess it's worth effort on behalf of us mamas!

Mmmmmm! The healthy option looks SO much more appetizing! Your son made a great choice :-)

I always have fruit in the fridge and eat it every day. Strawberry season is just starting here, so I'll be eating a lot of fresh local strawberries over the next few weeks - followed by fresh local raspberries. This is the best time of the year!

So true! Option one looks amazing. I also try to give my kids healthy food options and only have 'fast food' occasionally.

I know I would go straight for the healthy choice...yum!! Such a good point and one I need to remember for our little guy. Summer is the best time to each fresh and healthy too!

My little one loves fruit but her taste buds have definitely changed some - I hope healthy eating habits stick with her for a while.
