kate spade inspired valentine table...

We are a sad, stunned bunch in Denver today, but still love our Broncos!
Congrats to the Seattle Seahawks, their fans and all my Pacific Northwest blogging pals!
It was a well deserved win, and who couldn't be happy for Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson?
Moving on...

These Kate Spade salt and paper shakers were a favorite birthday gift from a couple
months ago, and inspired my Valentine table setting.
I love Kate's signature style, it's sophisticated, playful and she has a way with
 stripes and polka dots.

I was a little giddy when it dawned on me I had a couple gift wrap patterns that would tie
in perfectly to use as a table runner and place mats. The pink and gold stripe is from
TJ Maxx, and black and white polka dot from Hobby Lobby.

I've had the antiqued gold letters for a year or so, they were in the Hobby Lobby clearance
section, guess X and O aren't popular initials. I used some of my leopard ribbon from
Christmas to tie around the napkins for another bit of pattern.

Mr. Simple always inquires about our table decor so he can coordinate gift wrap on
presents for me! :)  Ha Ha!

If you're looking for a fun girlfriend birthday or hostess gift I highly
recommend the fun salt and pepper shakers!
Are they something you'd like?

This is so elegant and creative! Does your husband seriously coordinate the giftwrap? He should teach a class to all husbands out here ;)

Love those! I pinned them several months ago...need to throw some hints my hubby's way! Your Valentine table looks so pretty, love the XO idea! I'm sure I passed those up on the clearance rack because I'm not as smart as you! :)

Your table is so pretty Pam! I have a few Kate Spade pieces that I used over the holiday season (the gold polka dots are fun). Have you seen her pink coffee/tea cups? They are darling:) xxL

Oh Pam... Kate Spade inspired anything always hits the nail right on the head! And Mr. Simple coordinating his gift wrapping - you have him trained so well! HA Have a wonderful Monday.

OH Pam I couldn't help but chuckle about your husband coordinating the wrap with the table setting!! :-) My husband does the same thing. ;-) okay so he usually takes me to Whole Foods and various other points south so buy gourmet cheeses. It gets "wrapped" up all pretty in one of the linen/canvas grocery bags that I carry/make. Sealed with a kiss! (best gift "sealer" as far as I am concerned!)

Your table setting is simply lovely! and yes I was greatly saddened by last night's game but i have two boys who were ecstatic so all is good. plus i got to spend the evening with 75 teens so it was all lovely!!

Have a wonderful week! Think of us as we are once AGAIN expecting another storm. got about 5 inches Saturday but we are expected to have high winds and close to 9 inches of snow Tuesday night. I am so over winter... our boys have had almost as many snow days as school days since the beginning of january. to crazy!!

This is super cute, especially since I love Kate Spade! I'm sorry to hear about your Broncos. At least you don't have the Texans as your team. I've gotten used to the disappointment, lol.

We were rooting for the Broncos too and was really stunned and disappointed yesterday, but hey, there's always next year!
