Today I delivered the invitations to my 13th Annual Christmas Party, it's long been one
of my favorite traditions, ringing in the month of December with ten special girlfriends.
We get dressed up, hug, chat, have cocktails, chat, eat, chat, drink, chat, eat more,
chat, exchange gifts, chat, after dinner drinks, chat, hug... :)
Details on the back...
Each year I come up with a different theme, last year's was...
A few of my Favorite Things
It was a hit, and everyone loved getting 'five' favorite gifts to take home rather
than the usual one. I tried to come up with something clever to incorporate the
five gifts again, but time was getting away from me, and this simple idea won out...
a few MORE of my favorite things
I used these 7" x 3" wood slats from Hobby Lobby
6 per package - $1.50 (with coupon)
Painted them with chalkboard paint, and wrote my invite with a chalk marker.
Use a hot glue gun to attach a bow and sprig of evergreen to the front.
If you missed last year's party you can check out the fun invitations,
These girls are crazy creative and raise the bar higher every year!
But, we're always soliciting ideas....what would you bring?
5 items (all the same) for $5 or less
Menu and more details to come...

OMG You are soooo talented! I would buy your invites...so unique custom and beautiful. You should go into business..what a fun sounding party. Now you have me thinking of a girls holiday party of my own:)
SO beautiful!
How creative! Love the black and white ribbon
Oh love this! I kind of stink at doing the hosting thing. I have a cookie exchange every year but I don't get this creative ;) too lazy I have to admit!
Once again I lament the fact that you live 2000 miles away from me!!!!
I love your creativity, these invites are gorgeous and I am totally obsessed with black & white stripes right now (I've been pinning wreaths, Christmas trees, etc. like crazy lately!) Enjoy your wonderful tradition. If I think of something amazing I will be sure to let you know!!
I love this idea (and the way you presented it as well!). When my best girlfriends are in town, we have an ornament exchange, and it's one of my favorite holiday traditions. Hmmmm, $5 favorite thing - I'll have to think about that! An ornament, some yummy hand cream? I've gotten some great little items in my monthly Birchbox that could be candidates too!
you throw the best parties. the end.
Love this invite and hearing about this fun gathering! I'll be pondering the $5 or less challenge….hmmmm….what would I bring?!
Adorable invites! I have to know where you got your ribbon, I've only been able to find thinner stripes. It's a black and white Christmas this year! :)
I love your handwriting! I'd have to throw in my mascara, Almay's One Coat. On a good day I can find it at Walmart for just under five bucks. The grocery stores sell it for more though. Can't wait to see what else you have planned!
I love reading about your annual parties and can't wait to see all the details for this year! Those invites are beautiful! You should sell some on etsy!

I am stealing this idea! Love the invites and the clever wrapping!
Jennifer - the black and white striped ribbon came from Hancock Fabrics - $3.99 for 9 ft. spool, I got it on sale for 50% off.
Those invites turned out so cute Pam!! What a fun party idea!!
I just love that idea!!! So clever and fun!!!
What a fun idea! I can't wait to see what you all pick for $5 or less! :)
Pam, I've had a favorite things party on my to do list for like 2 years now! Love the invitations! I might just have to make this year be the year to make this happen. Thanks for the inspiration!
these are adorable!! new follower, love your blog ! xx d&m
So fun! Love this idea of the five favorite things, and your invitations are incredible. Another friend and I have been hosting an annual holiday party for years now where we do an ornament exchange. It's been fun and is such a great tradition!
I adore your wooden invitations. How unique! My college friends and I have done the "favorite things" concept in the past and decided to do it again this year. Last year, we had an $8 per gift limit so I did a beautiful notebook from TJ Maxx with a matching Le Pen and the "egg" lip balm. This year, I lucked out and found stunning, big post earrings from Banana Republic within the set price range. I look forward to swapping with my friends every year and can't wait to see how your party turns out. Cheers!
Love those invites. I'll bring 10 things if I can come! Can't wait to read all about the party this year.
Now those are so crazy cute...I'm going to have to show my daughter...great idea!
Love your invitations!!!…looking forward to seeing those creative gifts again this year!..
