inspiration...pass it on

I've been meaning to share this for over a month, my sweet friend Katie @ Miss Dixie,
transformed a hutch with Annie Sloan's French Linen Chalk Paint, it's gorgeous!!
She was inspired by my hutch makeover in the same color :) I want her to come style mine!
Here's a peek, you'll want to check out the before, and her styling,
blue and white porcelain, hydrangeas, need I say more....here!

Miss Dixie

I received a nice email from a sweet reader, Anne saying she missed out on
Ikea's Julmys aka Baker's Twine last year, but just saw it and picked some up this week.
Hurry, this is a bargain and flies out of the store!
Here was my post from last year with a some simple ideas...

Courntey @ a little glass box DIYed this chic bench using a rug.
I love everything about it ~ pink, gold and texture...

Have you seen Jonathan Adler's new Fall 2013 Catalog ~ oooh, aaah...

By the way did you local high school win the Katy Perry concert. I saw they were in the finals. Keeping my fingers crossed that they win. They did a fabulous job creating the video. Ana

The French Linen hutch is awesome. You simply can't beat Annie! Interesting hint about adding a tablespoon of water to the paint for the second coat!

The hutch is amazing! I keep reading about all the Annie Sloan transformations but am so gun shy to try.Guess I will have to keep hearing about all the tweaking of the painting before I actually try it. That bench is some kind a purdy!
