pretty peony vignettes

I think my peonies are the last to bloom on the planet!
They're just now opening and I've been dying to bring them in and style a pretty
vignette. We might need to replant them to a sunnier location, they've just never
done great, and I'm always so envious of other gardeners whose are spilling over and
thriving. I found some pretty inspiration to tide me over...

Do you have peonies or any gardening tips for growing them?

Ahhhh these vignettes are so pretty. Peonies are my favorite!! Mine still haven't bloomed yet either…..they usually bloom the first or second week of June here, I can't wait! I have 5 that are in a partially shaded spot and they are not doing well either, but the ones in full sun give me tons of blooms! Sun + rose plant fertilizer is the trick says my mom, the master :) Enjoy yours my friend!

You've inspired me to plant my own peonies! Unfortunately, I don't have much of a green thumb, but I'm thinking I might need to learn. Wondering if they will do well in Florida? Have a great week! xo

So so pretty! I just need mine to grow big now. Three blooms aren't getting me very far.

They're just the yummiest flower! I planted two new bushes this year, never had them before. No blooms this year but I hope I'll have some next year!

I am absolutely in awe of peonies! We cannot grow them here! I am going to post a pic of the bunch we had from the photo shoot...pure gorgeousness!

I was SO close to stealing a handful from my neighbors yard. It kills me when i drive by and see a whole bunch of them wilting right on the bush. WHY wouldn't people bring them all inside so their house can smell heavenly. The best flower there is in my opinion.

Love browsing through vignettes. I don't have any peonies, but it's so much fun seeing all the different ideas.

Aren't they just the prettiest stinkin flowers ever?! We had a storm come through this year during peak bloom and ruined the flowers. Saddest spring ever.

Love love, love peonies. My favorite flower. (A fact NO one ever seems to remember.)
Was tickled when we bought our Co cabin to discover a sickly one in the flower bed. For three years it did nothing but last fall a gardener friend replanted and split it. Now I have three plants that are about 9" high. Not counting on (but hoping for) flowers this year-those plants had struggled for a while-but next year! next year I expect great things. Texas is a total no-go for peonies.

Peonies do not grow well in the NC humidity. :( They are my very favorite!

You can't go wrong with fresh flowers of any kind! Hope you plan to share yours when they're ready for cutting.

They do take a bit of time to bloom so I simply purchase them a few days before an event...one quick tip is to make sure they're placed around flooring/furniture that's easy to clean. Peony messes are the downsides to this beauty- one day they're flourishing, the next they're flower bombs!

Mine are just blooming now, too. I don't bring them in because of the ants. I did read that you can submerge them in water to get the ants off and then bring them inside?

They're such a beautiful flower. I purchased 3 small bushes from Home Depot last week for under $4 each. We don't get a lot of sun in our yard so I'm hoping they produce a few blooms.

I've always loved peonies and finally got my first bouquet at Trader Joe's today! Wish I had some in my yard!

I really liked your white peonies. This is ideal for creating a floral design for a wedding pavilion in early autumn. I did this for my older brother. He surprised us all when he found a new wife using a singles hook up site - https://www.nastyhookups.com/hookup.html I didn't think he was so good at the art of online flirting)) but I'm also glad I was wrong about that. He found the perfect girl for himself. White peonies were the symbol of love at their wedding.
