Until now, I've never shown you my dining room, it's very...
BROWN!!
I love it, I just don't love it, BROWN!
So, it's on the list for early 2012...like January!
Hardwood Floor - Brown
Farm Table - Brown
Buffet - Craigslist - Brown
Lamp - Brownish/Gold
Mirror - Brownish/Gold
Chairs - Craigslist - Brownish
These chairs were a steal, 6 for $125!
They SO incredibly comfortable, the plan was to reupholster them,
but I'm intimidated by the channel back and the curve at the top.
Maybe I'll try one and see how it goes, or get an estimate and see how that goes.
My French Doors, Windows, Southern Exposure, Chandelier
I Love!
I'm thinking some color, pattern, rug, art & modern touches!
The other day I made the first change, I removed the little shades from my
chandelier!
I owe it all to my sweet friend Jennifer at Dimples & Tangles,
when she posted about her chandelier and started me thinking!
If you've never visited Jennifer,
you must see what she did to her laundry room,
and her daughter's room - amazing!
It's a small change for now, but it's one of those little things that makes me
happy!
I'm joining Lisa, to keep me focused and accountable!

I can totally identify with you! My entire house was all brown until just this year. Can't wait to see what you have planned!
Maybe it's just your photos, but the room looks very golden and very rich to me. I can sure understand wanting to update it though - and pulling inspiration from that beautiful chandelier and sideboard I think you'll still have one beautiful dining area - just one that you're even more happy with! Can't wait to see what Pam touches you add.
Pam,
I was wondering when we'd get to see your dining room! I think the room is very pretty! I would kill for those windows and french doors! It looks like a very warm and cozy room. I can't wait to see what kind of changes you make. Maybe you will motivate me to change my dining room! Have a great week!

Ohhh, that farm table...fabulous! You have such great pieces, can't wait to see how you reinvent everything! Thanks for the mention! This week a friend and I are making your monogrammed door mats for teacher gifts, so expect to see a post about those soon! Have a good day, friend.
Your room is beautiful and elegant. The natural light and the chandelier-amazing. You have such beautiful pieces too. I can't wait to see your changes.

The chandelier is STUNNING!!! Like jewelry for your dining room! Can't wait to see what you do with the chairs! :)
How beautiful!
You have a great foundation Pam....can't wait to see how you update this room. And you go girl on the re-upholstering of the chairs, no doubt you can handle it!

You should see my game room...brown, brown and more brown...It too is on my radar! Love that chandelier, it has wonderful potential....I have some chairs that scare me, can't wait to see what you do, I am sure it will inspire me! I am off to check out Jennifer's blog.
You are making me laugh...I feel the same way about my dining room- its on my 2012 list! I cannot wait to thin out the wood tones/brown I have going on in there! Can't wait to see what you do!
I am attempting to read your posts sequentially. I had planned to redo my dining room between Christmas and New Year but of course it was busy socially. I plan to stencil above the chair rail and am considering using metallic paint - it is going to be a major undertaking no matter what I use. I would love to see what you do with yours - so much potential..love the chandelier.
Pam, the lighting in there is phenomenal - both the windows and the chandelier! I'm trying to get more of a balance with the brown in my house too....I like it, but between wood furniture, flooring, brown leather couches and brown in some of my fabrics, it's very BROWN over here too! Look forward to where you take this! Thanks for linking up to Before & After :)
Love the chandy!
I saw you over at the "Before & After" party -- how genius is that concept -- and was hoping you could also join our month-long "Imagine the Impossibilities" challenge. Maybe reupholstering those chairs can be your "impossibility" challenge ...
You can find more about it here ...

... and it all culminates at a multi-blog Jan 31 link party!
Hope you can join us!
