my new mid century chairs...

I have a bit of a chair addiction, combine that with my Craigslist addiction
and my inability to pass up a major steal and I present you with my new
 mid century chairs...

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen these,
they were such a major score I couldn't pass them up yesterday. $30 for all four!!!
I'll do the math for you $7.50 each :)
I love the cool round seats and the 40" high backs, and the way the legs splay out
is kind of fun.

Does anyone know what this style is called?
I tried to check Google and Pinterest but had no luck finding anything similar.

I'm not sure about a plan for them yet, they may show up in my dining room,
and if so I think I'll be brave and go big and bold on the little seat.
Looking at my Pinterest Board of Chairs, 90% of them are vibrant bold patterns.
You can check it out here if you're curious, or have a chair addiction, or
Pinterest addiction!

OMG! I'm with you on the chair addiction. My garage is full and I just purchased 6 more chairs from CL! What's wrong with me? I can say I'm looking forward to seeing what you end up doing to those.

I think you need to start an online shop! You could spruce those up and sell them in a heartbeat. Talk about a great find! xo

Wow, they are amazing. I had to look myself and I didn't find anything exactly the same but the shape reminds me of these mid-century modern American Modern Tall Back Dining Chairs at 1dibs for $1650 ;)

These are great chairs! May I make an unsolicited suggestion? Since the shape of these is so great, be very careful that the fabric you choose doesn't make a competing statement. I see the fabric as a supporting element, fading into the background for the most part, letting that wonderful chair itself steal the show.

Great find! I love the style, but honestly have not seen them before and I love MCM design! Bold would be amazing... excited to see what happens with them!

Love, love, love your new chairs. You are truly the Craigslist Queen. I believe your chairs are a good imitation of an ancient Greek Klismos chair. The splayed legs are a significant part of a Klismos chair.

I agree with the few people who mentioned a Grecian influence in your chairs - especially with the legs the way they are and the high back that looks like a column. What a great find Pam!
