So sorry mounting the poster didn't work out!!<br /><br />I do think the bubbles subside on most surfaces after the mod podge dries completely, but it might have something to do with the board....if it has any texture I imagine air might get trapped in there. If you go this route again, you can use a rubber brayer to push out most of the bubbles, and also use a sewing needle to make a tiny prick in the bubbles and then smooth over it with the brayer. That's my experience with good old mod podge!<br /><br />Another idea: spray the back of the poster with spray adhesive (I have a can of 3M I just used for a project) and then mount the board squarely on top of it. The adhesive is super sticky so if you go this route you might want to enlist the help of a friend, because once the poster sticks to something it's hard to reposition. You can have the board cut to the exact size of the poster at Lowes/Home Depot and pre-paint the edges. <br /><br />The table came out great!!!
